California State Workers Strike For 21% Raises While Private Employers Budget Just 3.5%
@SEIU1000 wants a 21% raise while private-sector workers face layoffs, smaller raises, and rising prices. The state is already running deficits. Guess who gets the bill?

Oh my! @KarenBassLA is toast. Worst mayor ever opens the door wide open for “DSA darling” @nithyavraman. New survey released by the @californiapost shows Bass is loathed. For good reason of course.
NEW @californiapost poll: @nithyavraman leads @MayorOfLA @KarenBassLA, 46.7% to 38.8%. Reason: 71.7% disapprove of Bass, 66.2% say city is heading in wrong direction. 41% say Raman is “extreme.” Doesn’t matter. Homelessness #1 issue, and voters blame Bass. nypost.com/2026/10/22/us-new…

Memo to the Trump administration: Stop buying companies.
A government $40 trillion in debt should be SELLING assets, not buying ownership stakes in 36 companies.
We thought government control of the means of production was what we were fighting against.

California wasted billions of dollars of cap & trade gas tax money on unusable electric transit vehicles. This keeps happening because the state is deeply corrupt, especially when it partners with non-profits as it did in this case.
Karen Bass Walked Into The Lion’s Den. It Didn’t Go Well.
KFI Radio’s John Kobylt confronted Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass over homelessness, the Palisades fire and her record. Her answers were revealing.

Home run!
Prop 39 released a new ad today highlighting what politicians don’t want you to know: California is one of a handful of states that don’t require a photo ID to vote.
Prop 39 is a battle of politicians versus people.
Politicians want you to vote no.
The People are voting yes.
This ad is a parody, but the problem is not.
The politicians want to protect their power and money. We want to give it back to you.
Vote Yes on Prop 39.

Voters Should Reject Prop. 37, California’s $25 Billion Big Government Housing Gamble
Proposition 37 promises easier homeownership for selected buyers, but leaves California’s housing problems largely untouched.

The elected County Executive, who will make a salary of roughly $558,000 and not have term limits, will be one of the most powerful and highly paid politicians in the entire state of California. This presents a clear conflict of interest for every member of our @LACountyBOS, which is why I made a pledge not to run for the position. I'm calling on my colleagues to do the same. I listened to @KarenBassLA on @JohnKobyltRadio. I realized part of the way through that I actually believe exactly nothing that she says. She is the worst mayor in the history of Los Angeles and just seeing her and listening her makes me want to tell everybody that you’re stupid and a fool if you vote for her. Knowing full well that the only other candidate is bonkers town.

I am an "all of the above" housing guy at this point. But it needs to be said:
No one builds "affordable cars". Used cars are just new cars that got old. Same goes for housing.
We don't have affordable housing today, because we didn't build market rate housing yesterday.
We’re working to solve California’s housing crisis.
It was a pleasure to join Assemblymember @BuffyWicks, labor, local elected officials, and community members who are turning this site in El Cerrito into housing: public land next to a BART station, a 100% affordable building, homes built in a factory, and union labor on the job. It’s the first phase of a plan to turn BART parking lots into 743 homes.
This is what building housing the right way looks like. Every Californian deserves a home they can afford, close to where they work.

The hate must be in your soul because it's not in mine. My mother lived to 107 so expect me to be around for quite a while
Replying to @DanCALmatters
Wouldn't be a Tuesday without a Dan Walter's hate article.
You are a miserable fuck. Just move already.

Congrats California…my second ballot. Two different counties. Don't worry. I only vote once. This is the second time California has sent me two ballots.
No wonder we can't figure out Covid fraud, EDD, mental health programs, education, a damn high speed train, basic infrastructure, etc.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Oh my.
NEW: California GOP legislator Leticia Castillo has preached family values since entering politics. But her secret old XXX websites advertised adult entertainment services under the name “Silky Santana.”
Meanwhile, her Democratic challenger has her own baggage with two DUIs and a messy custody battle.
They were separated by just 596 votes last election.
Welcome to Riverside County, the Florida of California.

My friend @jenvanlaar making a great point to @randywangradio right now—Motor Voter is the poisoned tree of California's elections.
Are you a citizen?
Yes.
Ok. Here’s a ballot.

NEW: Los Angeles County elections officials confirm in court filing that they have no way to verify U.S. citizenship for voters and they rely solely on a voter’s attestation when they check yes or no to being a U.S. citizen under penalty of perjury. This is part of ongoing lawsuit w/ Feds.
Massive concession: Los Angeles election officials just told a federal court they have no independent way to verify citizenship beyond what voters attest. (They simply take their word for it.) Under federal law, only citizens may vote in federal elections. Yet California has not acted on the list of 20,000 suspected noncitizens or agreed to set aside their ballots. American citizens’ votes are being diluted in California.
