It was my absolute joy and privilege to have this conversation yesterday. It’s encounters like this that make teaching magical. I also reflected on why it was then simply standard to teach race and racism whereas decolonising curricula efforts feel more like a PR activity #PAC75

This is so exciting. It's such an important contribution to the industry. Can not recommend this highly enough for working journos, students, people who care about accurate information. Congrats to the ridiculously hardworking granddaddy of verification @CraigSilverman

The first Handbook had foundational advice for verifying images/video. Read: verificationhandbook.com/ Now we have a great chapter by @Flygirltwo and co. to help you "critically question and assess images to understand how and why they are being deployed." datajournalism.com/read/hand…

20 questions for investigating social media images (in context of disinformation, misleading context), from @firstdraftnews @Flygirltwo
Who were the intended audience? What does it show? It's it impostor content? How accurate is the message? What does it mean? Is there an intent to harm and/or mislead? Is it accurate, misleading, manipulated, or fabricated?

Was it shared on social media by the person who made it? Was it shared by a human, cyborg, or bot? Who made it? Is the actual official or unofficial?
