Last year, GoG cancelled its lease agreement with Rocksure International worth over a billion dollars. The lease agreement was for Nyinahin bauxite deposit. Today, GoG has signed an agreement with a Russian company to mine the same bauxite.
Rocksure International is a Ghanaian company which has managed to grow beyond our borders. Its founder and CEO is Kwasi Osei Ofori, the same Kwasi Osei Ofori who sits on the board of Asante Kotoko football club.
President Mahama is so anti-imperialist that he takes resources from indigenous companies and hand it over to foreign companies. Kwame Nkrumah must be proud.
