To me, this language reveals a troubling attitude: private savings viewed as a resource for political ambitions. The proposals do not establish confiscation or transfers to Ukraine. But Brussels must explain where investment would flow—including whether any schemes would finance Ukraine-related commitments—and who would bear the losses. Investment must remain voluntary. Consent must be meaningful. Risks must be clear. Your savings. Your decision.
