WHITE PILL ✨
Today we’re releasing Sarvam Prism, a System One model built on Sarvam 105B for fast, accurate decisions across enterprise workflows. It scores 71.8 with a median response time of 44 milliseconds, the highest average score among decision models that respond in under 100 milliseconds.

India's private space startups are now building their own rocket engine test stands. Here are the 6 I've mapped across Astrobase, EtherealX and Agnikul, with thrust ratings, purpose and status, plus one honorable mention 🧵👇

If no proof means no sophistication, then Ramanujan would be the least sophisticated. First, it is true that proofs in Indian mathematics were presented as the foundational result. But it doesn't mean there was no proof. 🧵👇🏻
Greeks were able to create proof-based theorems because they had the kind of democratic inclusive institutions which demanded proof; Indians were not that lucky. Extractive empires focused on religion; as a result, mathematics didn't see as much sophistication as philosophy.

Sometimes, I feel people underestimate India in many ways, just because our PR game is weak and we don't boast enough about our capabilities and what we have achieved, considering all the hate campaigns, sanctions, and psyops. We have the capability to stand in the same league as these current giants because Indians have the ability to build things indigenously, and we don't stop or give up just because something is difficult. The people of this nation have the brains to make things possible and to lead in terms of development because they believe they can build something, and this has been demonstrated countless times over the past several decades. There is always criticism about how we lack in many ways, but you can never convince an entire nation that we can't build something in India or that a particular technology is beyond our reach.

7. India had a vigorous proof-demanding culture in other registers: Panini's grammar is arguably the most formally rigorous system built before modern logic, and the Nyaya school's logic and the shastrartha debate tradition institutionalised adversarial scrutiny of claims.

8. Ramanujan sent results with almost no argument, inside the culture that prizes proof most. If proof measured sophistication he would rank low. Ask not 'were there proofs' but 'what made a result acceptable, and what got passed on.'
