Everyone needs to know what actually happened in Serbia.
Instead of students just protest against their government, the students organized themselves into a student list and ran in elections against their government—and they have just won.
Dear Serbia, congratulations on your victory; you have just opened a new door in protesting. This is history

The Anglo media seems to have lost all interest in covering the mass protests in France today because there was no rioting or looting, just boring legitimate demands from young people for decent education funding and an end to austerity.
I stopped to talk to a young Frenchman who worked at a creperie here in Paris. I asked him about the nature of the protests. (I’m a reporter at heart.) He told me he is a student and that they are really dissatisfied with the resources dedicated to their education here. He said he does not feel that they are being prepared for the future. While some of them may be contributing to the chaos, it seems that anarchists and opportunists are the main ones exploiting the situation, causing violence and looting, and clashing with police.

For AI fucking data centers. Destroying the planet so people can ask a chatbot the fucking weather. Or to write a fucking email. Or to steal our children's future. Or so an AI agent can hack your bank account.
What a horrific disgrace to our planet.
Google illegally cleared an estimated 250,000 trees across 330 hectares of forest in Muhos, northern Finland, to prepare for a new AI data center before completing mandatory environmental impact assessments
And another 150,000 trees felled at Otanmäki

Arsenal have scored another gorgeous team goal. Declan Rice with a brilliant low finish. They have been doing this all season, which is why the "boring" conversation has been so weird. Forest was the exception, not the rule!
Arteta's Arsenal have a new trademark goal. Set pieces are out... and flowing passing moves are in. So far this season, #AFC have already scored five goals after a sequence of 10 passes (36% of all goals). Last season, it was just 10%. Is Wengerball back?!

These protests aren't about left vs right.
They're about everyday people who've been told, time and time again, that austerity is the inevitable consequence of crises, while those same crises have generated extraordinary profits for those at the top.
But these aren't natural consequences. They're the result of decades of political choices to socialise the costs of crises while privatising the gains.
And the bullshit isn't working anymore.
Blaming immigrants, disabled people, the welfare bill, or whoever else makes a convenient scapegoat isn't going to hide the reality that the system is working exactly as it's been designed to.
What we're seeing in Paris and across Europe isn't going to stop. I genuinely think this is just the beginning of a society waking up to the fact that the crises we're living through, and the inequalities they create, aren't inevitable. They're the consequences of political and economic choices.
Politics has a choice to make.
Double down on fascist gaslighting, directing public anger towards the most vulnerable to protect those profiting from the status quo.
Or finally confront the structural inequalities driving these crises and fundamentally rethink an economy built around extraction, replacing it with one built around regeneration, shared prosperity and the wellbeing of people and the planet.
People aren't just angry about the latest crisis anymore. They're beginning to question the entire system that keeps producing them.

There were no riots before Muslims came to France, say morons who never heard of the French Revolution, 1968 or read a single book on their entire racist and pathetic lives.

Well after today’s announcement from the Bank of England, there is something very, very, very wrong in the system.
So … let me get this straight:
* British Gas made a profit of £1.3bn between January & June
* BP announced profits of £6.95 billion between April and June alone
* Shell has profited by £9.4bn in a year
The MEN at the top:
* John Pettigrew, boss of National Grid received £6.5m bonus on top of his salary
* Chris O’Shea, chief executive of British Gas owner Centrica was paid almost £2m last year in salary and benefits
* Centrica's non-executive directors were paid almost £1m
* Scottish Power's CEO Keith Anderson is on £1.15m.
* E.On boss Michael Lewis is on £1m
* EDF's Simone Rossi is also on £1m
* And their top execs enjoyed a share of £4.65m
* Peter Simpson of Anglian Water earned a £1.3m pay package
* Welsh Water bosses awarded themselves bonuses of over £930,000
* Severn Trent bosses awarded themselves bonuses of £5.56m
* Thames Water's Sarah Bentley, received a £727,000 bonus on top of her £2m annual salary
Meanwhile there are...
* People who haven't had breakfast and/or lunch TODAY, because they can't afford it.
* People using FoodBanks because food is becoming more of a luxury than a necessity.
* Children celebrating a birthday without presents.
* Parents worrying about new school uniforms - and some schools enforcing rules which are not cost-effective.
* People who can't get to work because they can't afford to put petrol in their cars/pay for public transport anymore.
* People who are working so much they're making themselves ill, and they STILL CAN'T AFFORD to pay their bills.
* People who have been given fines by these same energy/water companies because they couldn't afford to pay their bills in the first place - increasing their debt.
* Customers being told to do STAR JUMPS TO KEEP WARM for crying out loud!
* Hose pipe bans when gallons of water leak away everyday.
* Elderly people NOT DRINKING because they're worried about running out of water!!!
All this and energy prices are set to rise up to 75% in October...
THIS IS MADNESS!.. I'm all for supporting profits … I'm not for supporting greed at the cost of lives of others.
Something needs to change.
Why is customers' money being used to make life more comfortable for those who are making life more intolerable for the rest of us?
I actually don't understand how the energy companies are allowed to get away with this and why the government aren't stopping them instead of handing out money.....

City stole league positions, money, and glory while inflating the market through sporting fraud and off-book payments. Since 2009, transfer fee growth has completely decoupled from turnover growth for the first time in English football history at a staggering rate.
Unlimited owner spending on transfers/wages just cannibalises the game. Villa wouldn't be able to afford better players under your model with zero limits, the 5-10 clubs with vastly richer owners would just out-price Villa anyway. It doesn't create fairness, it locks it out.
Read the IFR report & stop pushing nonsense to defend cheating that’s destroying the landscape to an irreversible level. Owners can still invest heavily in infrastructure: stadiums, academies, women’s teams & marketing to build actual, sustainable growth models.

Just because we agree the rules then lie and cheat to give ourselves an unparalleled structural advantage to have all desired resources, accumulating the most ridiculous First XI/squad that money can buy but our opponents cant, thereby making the PL a non-competition for multiple seasons at a time...doesn't mean we cheat when we're on the pitch.
