that's what people don't usually get. to save arcadia bay max actively needs to use her powers, rewind and let chloe die in the bathroom. to save chloe, max literally just stand there in shock because, as she says herself, she can't make this choice. she doesn't "choose" that.

I would’nt say that Max is choosing to kill an entire town, she choose to not use her power to actively save them while sacrificing her loved one. Its still not « right » but its less one sided than that.
