NEW: Manhattan Residents enraged over delivery bikes flooding their street.
East Village neighbors spoke on 1st Avenue and East 11th Street on Thursday afternoon, saying their block has been taken over by parked delivery e-bikes.
Speakers said the street holds about 40 parked cars but roughly 400 e-bikes, and one resident said rats crawl in and out of the delivery bags. "Why are 400 e-bikes on this one block?" an organizer asked the crowd. Longtime resident Michael Anton said the bikes keep multiplying every time he steps outside.

Late this morning, I was alerted by the @nycbirdalliance, that construction had started once again on this water tower.
Upon arriving at the scene, I demanded that Building Management stop construction and soon thereafter @NYSDEC arrived on scene to enforce the stop work order.
As of now, construction on the building has been fully halted.
Thanks to @NYSDEC for their swift action and @nycbirdalliance for their continued advocacy.
While the 75th Street Owl Family appears to be reunited after the cruel eviction tactics, let’s make sure that the humans involved are made to account for their vile + illegal behavior.
What was lost: one of the UWS barn owl parents checking on their nest a couple nights ago (above) and doing the same with what little remained of it tonight (below). After a stressful day and early evening, the family reunited and all owlets were accounted for.
