Excited we have two new papers out on the self-assembly and remodeling dynamics of the HIV Gag lattice in @biophysJ and @eLife ! Both papers combine reaction-diffusion modeling with theory and experiment

Our paper is out in J Chem Phys: Speed limits of protein assembly with reversible membrane localization. We show how and when assembly can be much faster on membranes despite slower diffusion, thanks to postdoc Bhavya Mishra for leading this!!

In this new preprint, we use a continuum membrane model to predict how insertion of amphipathic helices drives preferential binding to curved membranes. from super post-doc @FuYiben and expert collabs @ZenoResearch and @StachowiakLab

In a new preprint, we show that clathrin-coated structures formed on membranes will spontaneously disassemble without sufficient adaptor proteins. Thanks to my awesome postdoc Sikao Guo and membraneExpert @AlexSodt biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
