一屋子人全愣住了。我坐在那儿，脑子嗡的一声，身子跟钉在椅子上似的，十秒钟没动。
那十秒我脑子里过了很多东西。我要是还手，这顿饭变成全武行，我媳妇夹在中间没法做人。我要是不吭声，我儿子这五巴掌白挨，往后谁都能上来扇他。
十秒过了，我站起来，走过去把儿子拉到我身后，看着岳父，说了一句：“这外公家，以后不来了。”
岳父脸涨得通红，拍桌子骂我：“我教训外孙，轮得到你说话？”我没接，拉着儿子往外走。
我媳妇追出来，在楼道里拉住我，眼泪汪汪的。我说你别拦我，你今天拦我，明天你儿子挨打都没人吭声。
她站那儿没再拉。
回家路上儿子问我：“爸，外公是不是不喜欢我？”我说不是，是大人没管住自己的手。
后来岳母打电话来打圆场，说老头子脾气急，让我别往心里去。我说妈，他脾气急，我儿子脸肿了三天。这亲戚往后走不走，看他认不认这个错。

Swiss police are reportedly confronting a group of Muslim women protesting the country's ban on full-face coverings at a train station.
Switzerland's nationwide ban, approved by voters in a 2021 referendum, took effect on January 1, 2025.
Violators generally face an on-the-spot fine of 100 Swiss francs, with penalties potentially reaching 1,000 francs.
The message is simple: Multiculturalism does not mean that a country must abandon its laws, cultural identity or democratic decisions.
Switzerland's voters made their choice. Now the authorities are responsible for enforcing it.
Integration should not require a nation to surrender its identity.
