The narrative does not matter. You white pilling or black pilling in regards to the narrative does not matter.
Only the will to power of Donald J. Trump matters.

The answer to Michael's question is to be found in "The Straussian Moment," where Thiel sketches his preference for political theology over political philosophy (see excerpts below).
Everything comes down to the interpretation of the fundamental crime at the foundation of every political community, and on that question Thiel prefers Girard (avec un peu de Schmitt) over Strauss.
Why? Harder to say, but it has something to do with which thinker makes "the unreflective defense of the city" possible. For Thiel, Strauss does not, Girard does.
The issue, then, is whether Girard merely supplies the equipment to produce the noble lie Strauss suggests is necessary.
So, is Thiel's political theology meant genuinely?
I do think he wants to solve our problem, but it is unclear to me whether his efforts are basically Girardian or a Straussian appropriation of Girard.

American tech and IT professionals when an executive with a foreign name is hired to “restructure” their departments.
It’s essentially just marketing for an audience that is not very sophisticated or well-read on these issues.
Doing this leads to a narrowing of the overall point and will unnecessarily obscure the message in unintended directions.
A raw Thucydidean/Machiavellian approach to analyzing today’s political situation would be better.
Perhaps the main issue or question I had about the Thiel lectures was to what extent the Christian theology is necessary to the argument. It seems to me that you can warn against the threat of global government on the grounds of political philosophy, as Leo Strauss did in his debate with Kojeve published in On Tyranny; and since both Strauss and Kojeve were mentioned by name in the lectures, it doesn't seem arbitrary to compare Thiel's account to the positions debated there. There's a way in which the lectures could be summarized (compressed, unfairly, with loss) as stating that the antichrist is the impossible political solution offered to a crisis that he himself exaggerates in order to scare people into accepting his promise of peace and security-and that the person most likely to do this in our time and in our Rome (America) is a Democratic president. Of course there are plenty of other issues he could not discuss in the relatively short span of four lectures, like whether open source AI is a kind of restrainer against the dual threat of antichrist and armageddon, etc. But again, I would regard the question about whether the Christian angle is indispensable or not as the central puzzle.
Instead of facing the political reality of our time with absolute courage, in a kind of Thucydidean or Machiavellian style, this is what people find interesting? Anti-Christ slop?

Worst call of Trump II, by far, has been the failure to back DOGE resolutely, reinforce it with the FBI and intelligence services, pull Palantir into the fight, and use it as the crowbar to prise apart, defund, and roll up the entire progressive deep state.
The Federal Government should take control of cities across the nation that act this way and install new local rulers.
The City of Glendale is aware of reports of federal immigration enforcement activity in our community.
Glendale remains committed to public safety and serving all community members, regardless of immigration status.

I need a patron who will grant me $10 million. I will publish a book on Thucydides and advance political science on X.com
Within 5 years I will also run for office and/or organize a political club for the organization and implementation of grand politics.
“To be strong is not enough: one must wish to use one’s strength: one must be willing to die.” — Seth Benardete, “The Homeric Hero”
The Trump admin simply needs to be going harder against H1Bs, GCC offshoring, and the people in corporate America enabling all of this. Despite everything they are supposedly doing, it feels like it’s not enough. The problems are huge and require heroic effort to overcome.
I was Director of Engineering at AMEX a year ago. They are doing this so that they can rehire in India. The inside story is MUCH WORSE than that though.
Amex has been doing silent layoffs for years. As director, the VP told me to gradually increase expectations on engineers so that we could fire them “for cause” When you do this as a leader you get a backfill head to hire for. The caveat at AMEX? The backfill head was already decided for you - they were in India, and usually from a body shop firm.
Ask me anything about how AMEX is screwing over Americans in the replies.
@HarmeetKDhillon @andrealucasEEOC @USEEOC I am willing to testify/name names/do whatever is necessary to curb this anti American abuse.

Marco Rubio should rule Cuba and the Cuban people. He should be the sovereign King of Cuba and establish a new ruling dynasty there.
Why would we want to leave the responsibility of ruling to the natives currently there?
