So hold on a minute. Astroturf AI SuperPAC claims conservative protests are AI. Then, on inspection, turns out they are real, small town Americans So, Leading the Future is so unpopular they have resorted to lying that protestors aren't real? Lolllllll!
Love to use AI to make fake pictures of anti-AI protestors for my "grassroots" anti-AI group

Respectfully, I don't think the article actually supports your claims. And, come on, Amy Kremer is obviously a conservative. You can actually disagree with people without resorting to untruths.

If they choose counter-geoengineering, this isn't just an off-ramp. Now, the perceived existential threat of termination/climate change has a "threatening Other" that is deliberately causing it - State B. This can be another site for similar escalation patterns.

First, we carry out the largest literature review on the topic to date. Existing proposals in the literature fit three broad archetypes, but these are often under explored, and don't generally explain why the exceptional measure of military conflict is resorted to.

🚨New Paper: Sky Wars: Escalation Pathways in the Age of Solar Geoengineering Solar Geoengineering causing war is an often discussed threat model, but we find there are few detailed pathways proposed in the literature for how this could actually occur; we aim to change that.

Very happy to announce the publication of "The interaction of solar radiation modification and Earth system tipping elements" in Earth System Dynamics lnkd.in/errhP8Ww This is the first review of the impact of SRM on 15 tipping elements!

Here is a set of monte carlo simulations I generated for the essay, where s is the bias in our models (ie the fraction of "true" worlds samples that the model would actually sample as true. The PDFs are the probability of a variable crossing the GCR threshold.
3) your piece implies I'm skeptical about climate models in general, whereas my argument is mostly I'm skeptical about their ability to rule out extreme scenarios specifically (ie really hard to distinguish between low-but-non-negligible vs negligible probability)

Apologies, in rereading my previous tweet, I slightly overstated it. Attached is the conclusion we come to is here. 9 of 15 at least partially compensate. 4 we are too uncertain. 2 at minimum no compensation, but both have ranges including at least partial compensation
