The attempt to arugula-ize Obama’s Cheesecake Factory comment is actually insane. The reason the joke landed is precisely *because* it was relatable to folks who go to the Cheesecake Factory. Elitism woulda been him referring to French Laundry as if everyone goes there. Just because conservative media elites are too dumb to get the joke doesn’t mean it was a bad joke.
