The Sept. 11 memorial at ground zero is a place of reflection, remembrance, and community. It was designed by Michael Arad — a Georgia Tech alumnus with his master's in architecture — who witnessed the attacks from the rooftop of his Manhattan apartment.
Selected from thousands of submissions, his design — a space for all to honor and remember the victims and heroism of that day — continues to serve as a living part of New York City. #NeverForget 🇺🇸
