Minister @MarjoriePLC writes off nearly half billion for people who cheated @GovCanHealth dental plan. Feds to date won't explain why program went 80% over budget: 'It represents an amount up to $434.8 million."  blacklocks.ca/bogus-claims-c… #cdnopoli

Exactly - & we need to dial down the vitriol against people we disagree with. Just recently, I heard again someone advocating for the killing of a politician they don’t like. Sadly I hear it from some who promote “No place for Hate” This story is just so sad 😢
Political violence at its worst 💔

🤔 It’s interesting to see rule of law in Canada re: protests AND the over the top charges of mischief - resulting in prison & house arrests from Ottawa Convoy In studying protests since the Ottawa convoy - I wonder why there isn’t more investigative journalism. 🤨
The lawyers at @TorontoPolice need to get their story straight on the Charter rights of protestors. Either they can stand on a busy road, or they can't. If TPS allows "pro-Palestinian" and pro-Hamas supporters to occupy Yonge Street, while denying cyclists (and other activists) the right to occupy Bloor St W, someone's rights are being violated. Unless, of course, they're more concerned about ethnic optics than the Constitution. markmcqueen.substack.com/p/p…

🤔 “The Toronto Star examined $25 billion worth of contracts awarded in Carney’s first 16 months and found 31% went to American-controlled companies. That was up from 20% of the $36 billion in contracts handed out in the 16 months before Carney was sworn in.”
Elbows up? Carney's Liberals move security contract from the Commissionaires to Trump and ICE affiliated Allied Universal of Pennsylvania. Goes against every ounce of rhetoric from Carney. torontosun.com/news/national…

CHAOS INC: A Fox News Digital investigation by @FoxNews Digital's senior editor of investigations @AsraNomani has identified 54 organizations behind France's escalating protests — a sprawling network of communist parties, revolutionary socialist groups, labor unions, Palestine-solidarity organizations and international media outlets working to transform grievances into a full-blown revolt against capitalism, government austerity and military spending. Now, 28 communist and socialist youth organizations across 12 European countries are mobilizing for a coordinated November 20 strike under the slogan "Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars," calling for walkouts, blockades, occupations and mass demonstrations. Among the international amplifiers: organizations tied to Neville Roy Singham, a Marxist tech tycoon living in Shanghai, whose network includes Tricontinental and BreakThrough News, a New York-based outlet that published advance coverage of the weekend's mayhem in France. 🤔 And yet no analysis of this or curious minds to ask why is this exactly ?
The crown attorney wanted more time in jail for @LichTamara than this murdering repeat offender got. 20 months for murder. Let that sink in folks. torontosun.com/news/local-ne…

Make no mistake: the ongoing scenes of chaos and violence against police in France are precisely the kind of unrest some activists appear to want to see in Canada. @TorontoPolice allow these same individuals to block infrastructure and private businesses, accost politicians and civilians with hateful language, and generally dominate public spaces. At some point, tolerance for disorder becomes an invitation to escalate. #Toronto #FranceProtests #ProtestMania

⚠️ … and watch what is happening im France.
These two teenage boys may have killed me. They were, after all, planning to carry out a suicide bombing at a Jewish event I attended here in Ottawa. Because of this, I remember the case quite clearly. What this article leaves out is the fact that the parents of these youth helped radicalize them — but they'll face no criminal charges or consequences. One of the fathers involved, for instance, who is from Iraq, made appalling social media posts about "Zionists" and Jews, suggesting that all Israelis should be murdered. It's a good thing both of these terrorists will spend some time behind bars, but they won't be in there forever, and the households they return to will likely remain cesspools of Islamic extremism. We need to get serious about addressing the root cause here. Right now, we're playing jihadi Whack-a-Mole, and that can only do so much, for so long. An absolutely horrifying case — but it won't be the last. theglobeandmail.com/canada/a…

In so many cases, what happens in Europe eventually happens across the Atlantic. They are patient zero. We are running out of runway.

Riots across France today. Looting, fires, vandalism and attacks against policemen and firefighters reported from cities across the country.

Wow…. Been following this here. In a @globalnews headline : “Scuffles break out as protesters rally across France, joining students” 🤔
This is the new EU that so many Canadians want to join! Those romantic days of France, UK etc are long gone.

Stellantis idles Brampton. Moves the Jeep Compass to the U.S. Now it's eyeing China-built Jeeps for Canada. You can't make this stuff up. The optics are brutal. And it's potentially bad for Brampton, Unifor and Canadian workers. I helped on this one: autonews.com/manufacturing/a…

Classless. It goes without saying that few would tolerate pundits and lobbyists laughing about how “ugly” a female politician is.

🤨 It seems increasingly to be the case!! Where are the curious & open minds?????
Every day I am increasingly convinced that Canadians might be the most propaganda susceptible society on earth.

👇 … deep regret Seriously?? 😳
How it started: In July 2025, PMCarney announced Canada would recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly in September, “predicated on” PA commitments that included fundamentally reforming governance, holding general elections in 2026 in which Hamas could play no part, and demilitarizing the Palestinian state How it's going: Canada "deeply regret the Palestinian President's decision to postpone the Palestinian Legislative Council elections as well as the Presidential elections to September 2027." No doubt many more regrets to come @MarkJCarney

Fascinating interview …. Worth a listen with an open & curious mind Worth noting that interviewer did not seem happy with answers. 🤔
Barton’s interview with Lorenzo Goncalves (Cleveland-Cliffs CEO, owner of Stelco) Stelco announced temporary layoffs of up to 500 workers. Industry Minister Melanie Joly then threatened legal action, saying the company must meet its Investment Canada Act employment undertakings. Goncalves says Stelco is compliant, the layoffs are temporary and will be reversed, and the government is misreading the contract On the commitments: “There’s no provision in the contract that I have to keep employment at a certain level every single day of the five years. If that was an imposition of the Canadian government, I would not have accepted. The undertakings are not decrees… This is a contract.” He contrasts Stelco with Algoma: “Algoma got $500 million from the Canadian government and then shut down the blast furnace and laid off permanently more than 1,000 workers. In our case, the layoffs are 1 temporary. 2 they will be reversed. 3, I did not accept Canadian taxpayer money.” On US tariffs and Canada: “I am in favor of section 232 tariffs… against all the countries in the entire world that dump steel into the United States… [But] we need to negotiate a separate situation between the United States and Canada… I am the biggest proponent of Fortress North America.” He says he stopped Stelco from selling low-priced steel into the U.S. the day he took ownership. He also declined government offers of support because he rejects the Algoma model of permanent job cuts funded by taxpayers On selling the company: “Would you consider selling the company for a good offer? Yes. But I also believe that being in Canada, with a great workforce… under the current trade circumstances, absolutely. We can continue to be a good citizen in Canada.” Message to the workers: “I believe that they are being played. I believe that having the Prime Minister of Canada… saying that I betrayed my employees, this is not true… You are going to be brought back. Have Thanksgiving. This is the last Thanksgiving that you are out of a job.” Core claims: the layoffs are temporary, Stelco remains in compliance with its undertakings, and political rhetoric is substituting for the actual terms of the Investment Canada Act contract and the broader Canada-U.S. steel trade problem @StelcoCanada @CLE_CLF
