The Lesson Dr. Kalam Taught Us 🛰️
A boy from Rameswaram went on to lead SLV-3, India's first indigenous satellite launch vehicle.
When its first flight failed in 1979, Dr. Kalam refused to give up. A year later, SLV-3 placed the Rohini satellite in orbit.
We know that feeling. Drishti didn't reach the goal we set for it, but every lesson from it is now built into our next satellite.
At GalaxEye, we carry Dr. Kalam's spirit forward: test, learn, improve and launch again.
On his 95th birth anniversary, we remember the man who taught India to dream with its eyes open.

Introducing the GalaxEye UDAAN Award 🏆🚀
What if the best research in geomatics didn't just end up in a journal, but became data and tools that businesses, partners and government agencies use every day?
This thought led us to institute the GalaxEye UDAAN Award, with the Indian Society of Geomatics (ISG). It celebrates research that can become real products, brings industry and academia closer, and pushes young researchers to solve problems that matter.
And the very first winners of the GalaxEye UDAAN Award is the FRAMS Project Team at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC) 👏 Their Forest Resources Analysis and Monitoring System (FRAMS) brings satellite imagery and field data together, so changes in forest cover can be spotted early and acted on quickly 🌳🛰️ The team includes Shri Puyam S Singh, Shri Nilay Nishant, Dr Dibyajyoti Chutia, Dr Dhruval Bhavsar, Md Abu Sahin, Ms Banroilin Tham, Dr Kasturi Chakraborty, Dr KK Sarma and Dr SP Aggarwal.
Dr Deb Jyoti Pal - Sr. VP - Business Development presented the award on behalf of GalaxEye to Dr SP Aggarwal, Director, NESAC, at ACRS 2026 in New Delhi on 12 October.
A big congratulations to the FRAMS team, and thank you to ISG for partnering with us. The journey of UDAAN has just taken off, and there's much more to come! 🚀

GalaxEye at The House of CFO, Bengaluru! 🎙️
Our Head of Finance, Atul Jain, participated in the CFO panel discussion, “Show Me Your Cash Flow. I’ll Show You Where You’re Bleeding” at the 3rd Edition of The House of CFO, hosted by @TheForumHousein
For deep-tech startups like GalaxEye, the definition of success goes beyond traditional financial metrics. Building intellectual property, creating breakthrough technologies, and navigating long development cycles require a distinct approach to cash flow, capital allocation, and financial management. Cash flow visibility, disciplined capital deployment, and runway management become critical to sustaining innovation long before it translates into commercial returns.
As we work towards defining the Deep-Tech Finance Playbook, such conversations help shape how finance can enable innovation while building sustainable, scalable businesses.

Building for Uttar Pradesh: GalaxEye at UP-SAAW Lucknow (8–9 October)🇮🇳
Uttar Pradesh is moving fast to bring space technology into governance, with forward-looking state policies and a growing space ecosystem opening doors for innovators. For GalaxEye, it was the perfect stage to show how all-weather, day-and-night satellite intelligence can tackle the state's real problem statements.
The highlight: Anil Kumar, the Hon'ble Minister of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh, visited our exhibit to see OptoSAR in action. 🙌
We followed it up with focused one-on-one sessions with state departments, mapping our capabilities to their specific needs, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
Big thanks to @INSPACeIND and @rsac_up for bringing government and industry into the same room, and to Ravi Raj Singh Gaur, Manager - Partnerships and Chitiz Joshi, Pre-Sales Lead, for representing GalaxEye.
The groundwork is laid. Now we build. 🚀

Meet us at ACRS 2026!!
Remote sensing has always had to work around clouds, darkness and the trade-off between optical and radar data. GalaxEye is closing that gap with its OptoSAR technology that captures optical and radar data together from a single satellite, so clouds and darkness no longer block the view of Earth.
We're excited to be at the 47th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS 2026), from 12 to 16 October 2026 at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Dwarka, New Delhi, India.
Meet Dr. Deb Jyoti Pal Senior Vice President – Business Development at GalaxEye,
Ravi Raj Singh Gaur, Manager – Partnerships, Bhargavi B A, Product Lead, and Namitha K Narayan, Image Analyst. Connect with us to explore how GalaxEye is advancing Earth observation with OptoSAR that gives us analytics-ready imagery for reliable change detection, disaster monitoring and mapping, even when optical satellites can't see which can enable smarter decision-making across defence, infrastructure and governance.
