Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!" Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point." This post is not about cars :)

The Jelly fish used to be a pretty rare thing to see, something like 3 other occurrences where the timing of the launch and the sun light was just right. But now we see the jelly fish in the feed all the time, thanks for the continuous pace of Falcon 9

I'm trying to locate John Samson, who constructed a critical magic prop for me in Los Angeles around 1983-1984. Anybody recognize that name? He might have worked at the LA Stage Co.

What are your thoughts on @Seneca_Systems wildfire suppression drones? Similar tech that’s deployed in Aspen and other regions

Your recency bias report card. B+ resistance from mixing Bush/Gore history with current drone/tech takes. High-signal, low-volume style.

Whenever you buy a new Windows laptop, one of the first things you should do is run Grok Build Windows and many laptop manufacturers ship PCs with a surprising amount of stuff you probably never asked for: • Trial antivirus and OEM apps • Preinstalled games and partner software • Ads, recommendations, news and widgets • Unnecessary startup/background apps • Temporary files and other clutter Instead of spending an hour digging through Windows settings and wondering what is safe to remove, let Grok Build audit the whole machine, figure out what is unnecessary and clean it up for you Just make sure it shows you the plan first and leaves drivers, security features and hardware-critical software alone Start with: “Audit this Windows PC and safely clean up everything unnecessary. Remove unwanted bloatware, trial software and preinstalled games, disable ads, recommendations, news/widgets and unnecessary startup/background apps, and clean temporary files. Do not touch drivers, Windows security, updates or anything required for the laptop’s hardware. Show me the plan first, then make the approved changes” A clean Windows install makes a brand-new laptop so much nicer to use
I opened my windows pc that I haven't touched in a long time and I don't even remember half the stuff that's on it The first thing I noticed was the storage was all red So the first thing I did was put Grok Build on it and ask it to figure out what I don't need anymore It went through the PC and found ~150GB of old installers, duplicate setups, broken downloads, caches and stuff I haven't touched in years and instead of blindly deleting everything, it actually tells me what should be safe to remove It really feels stupid to manually dig through 500 folders trying to remember what I installed 4 years ago 😂 and if you're trying to find anything, just ask Grok....it's way easier than digging through hundreds of folders manually trying to figure out where you put it

A Mayo Clinic-developed artificial intelligence (AI) model can help specialists detect pancreatic cancer on routine abdominal CT scans up to three years before clinical diagnosis. It identifies subtle signs of disease before tumors are visible, when curative treatment may still be possible. The findings, published in Gut, mark a milestone in Mayo Clinic's multiyear research effort to enable earlier detection of one of the deadliest cancers. Learn more: mayocl.in/4eippBP

David Byrne created a rare moment at the Santa Barbara Bowl Tuesday April 14 when he pointed to the sky as a flaming Falcon 9 Rocket launch burst from the darkness from Vandenberg Space Force Base. The crowd turned and cheered for both. (Video: Richard Weston Smith)

@HotshotWake is the most thoughtful voice on all things wildfire. Their ongoing coverage of how technology can support the fire service is essential listening. Check out yesterday's episode covering our upcoming deployment with the @AspenFireDept.
New Episode Out: link below On Today’s Show: * Colorado has purchased a strike team of wildfire drones from Seneca for wildfire suppression. The large suppression drones can deliver 50 gallons of foam, for a total of 250 gallons per strike team. * They are looking at creating permanent wildfire drone bases across the state. * Ring doorbell cameras have launched a program that feeds your home camera footage into AI to detect wildfires. “Fire Watch.” * California cities have begun Zone Zero rules for home hardening. Residents who do not comply with the 5-foot rule could face fines as early as this June. * The Western Governors Association releases a statement on snowpack deficits, saying it will use cloud seeding to address them. Nine states now have active programs, with Utah’s Program now the largest in the world. * Arizona fire agencies sign on to pilot program to use OroraTech’s wildfire satellite detection system and fire progression algorithm. * British Columbia boosts wildfire budgets and workforce. * Full operational update.
