I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

On 30 October- it is SO important that we blow out the screens we have on that day for I Love Boosters. I need you and your friends to drive to the nearest place that's playing it.
Otherwise we could face a problem like we had in the US, where by that Saturday they were reducing us to one screening per day.

I believe the cost of elder and end of life care will be a defining political issue of the 2030s. Candidates looking to run in 2028 would be wise to have a plan for this before it bankrupts millions of families more than it already has. I will never forget having to do the math of how much longer my family could afford keep my father cared for as Parkinson’s took him. I know far too many people who have had to make that same calculation.
