Seriously, MAGA, the Cabinet is chock full of billionaires and wannabe billionaires. They’re in it for the money. If @elonmusk @peterthiel & @JDVance decide it’s time for the 25th Amendment, they’d get half of the Cabinet to sign off on chucking @realDonaldTrump overnight.

Misinformation works. Those that believed misinformation voted Trump. Those that believed the truth voted Harris.
There is NO candidate that can change this.
Republicans have a well oiled propaganda machine that spans all media platforms and we do not.

We are already seeing the rationalizing of how we got here and the blaming of the political party that, though flawed, actually reflects multiracial democracy. We must resist this. Voters knew exactly who Trump was and chose him anyway. This is not about the so-called excesses of the left. As the NYT editorial board writes, Trump ran the "most racist, sexist, and xenophobic campaign in modern history." As NYT reporter Lisa Lerer wrote today, "This was a conquering of the nation not by force but with a permission slip. Now, America stands on the precipice of an authoritarian style of governance never before seen in its 248-year history." This is the unsparing truth that we must confront.

Churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, etc. are not required to be accessible to people with disabilities — A carve out in the Americans with Disabilities Act. This is an even bigger problem than usual when religious institutions are polling places.
Something you may not know: religious institutions like churches are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act. But 20 percent of all polling places are in religious institutions, meaning many people with disabilities are denied the right to vote msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-opin…

I was working at an inner-city school & post-election 2016 was the eeriest day I’ve ever known. It was as if every student’s grandmother had died.
And when a 7th grader whispered “I’m scared he’ll deport my uncle,” I realized my students were carrying burdens I couldn’t imagine.

"It's not an illegal lottery because it was fraud!"

Musk lawyer says his $1m giveaway is NOT a lottery. "There is no prize to be won" and winners "are not chosen at random," Musk lawyer Chris Gober said.
Instead, the $1m is a salary they "earn" to be a spokesperson for Musk's pro-Trump super PAC. Winners are picked based on their "suitability to serve" and their personal story, Gober said.
In response, Philly DA team called this a "complete admission of liability" that Musk is running an illegal lottery under PA law.
Remember: When Musk announced the giveaway.... in PA nonetheless.... he said, "we are going to be awarding $1 million randomly." DA showed this in court to the judge.
Gober argued there's a difference between "randomly" and "by chance," which is why he argued that this isn't an illegal lottery under PA gaming laws.

Nate Silver saying it took guts for Ann Selzer to release her polling numbers is very telling, particularly because that's all she did; she polled voters and released the findings. She just didn't change the numbers to protect herself from being an outlier like most are.
