My author copies of Moonlight Crusaders from @OspreyBooks have just arrived. The baby is born after a prolonged gestation period! With thanks for kind comments to @robert_lyman and @historical_kate.

I enjoyed the four episodes @ProfBrianCox but shouldn't it be Adventures in Spacetime?
Making light of dead Hen Harriers is crass and an attempt at misdirection from their persecution on or near grouse moors. What about the one missing in the Moorfoot Hills and the 100+ elsewhere? #raptorpersecution
Campaign group Hen Harrier Action today announced that 75% of the hen harriers they tagged this summer with the RSPB have died, including one way out to sea on its way to Greenland.
Not many grouse moors around there now...

Should White-tailed eagles be reintroduced to Cumbria?
Research by the Cumbrian White-Tailed Eagle Project shows Cumbria holds suitable habitat for the bird of prey – now it’s time to hear from you.

Incredible that Kurt Vonnegut imagined a Mars rocket nearly the same size as Starship back in 1959. #scifi #Starship #SpaceX

🦅 Golden eagles are thriving where gamekeepers are working the land – and vanishing where they’re not.

NASA Astronaut on ISS caught this sprite over Mexico and the U.S., this morning.
Sprites are TLEs or Transient Luminous Events, that happen above the clouds and are triggered by intense electrical activity in the thunderstorms below.
We have a great view above the clouds, so scientists can use these types of pictures to better understand the formation, characteristics, and relationship of TLEs to thunderstorms.

Regurgitating the bogus 75% claim and rightly condemning those guilty of #raptorpersecution and the illegal killing of Hen Harriers. @LandEthics
Any replacement would be better than an activity relying heavily on #raptorpersecution to sustain itself. Yes to rewilding, tree planting and ecotourism.
One for @LandEthics. That 75% figure yet again! Do the @MoorlandAssoc ever read your corrections?🤦🏻♂️
…..and why ground nesting hen harriers are not thriving.

🪶 Did you know grouse moors are home to more ground-nesting birds than many nature reserves? Here's why they thrive there.

The Iranian mullahs want nuclear war. It is a regime with two principal objectives: the destruction of Israel and martyrdom. Both would be achieved by mutually assured destruction
