No Flower District? No Clinton? You call this a Manhattan neighborhood map?
This is the wildest Manhattan neighborhood map I've ever seen. I'm not an NYC expert but I'm pretty sure half of these aren't real lol

This is the greatest song ever written about chess
‘Night Moves’ was released #onthisday October 22, 1976. What’s your favorite song on the album? bobseger.lnk.to/nightmoves

Mayor Abe Beame’s 1976 50 year time capsule letter to NYC’s 2026 mayor was full of self-criticism, possibly making him New York’s first Marxist-Leninist mayor

I also think Mayor Beame would have been overjoyed to learn that humpback whales and dolphins have returned to New York Harbor “A man has made at least a start on discovering the meaning of human life when he plants shade trees under which he knows full well he will never sit.”

During a Nets 2021 playoff game, one of first indoor sporting events many attended, they had a moment to honor Essential Workers A guy in my row got up during the moment and the whole section cheered him assuming he was an essential worker during the worst of the pandemic…
The Nets have still hung the more important banner in this city in the last decade

But he was not an essential worker, he got up to ask if anyone nearby had a lighter Someone did, handed it to him, and he proceeded to smoke an entire cigarette inside Barclays It was surreal, deeply antisocial, and in that moment I knew NYC was fully back

Made my in-studio NY1 debut this weekend to talk about voter registration, early voting, and the NYC Voter Guide Many are saying this is the worst TV performance from a political press secretary they have seen all month..

If you didn’t experience Bushwick pre-last week (when I moved here), you didn’t really experience Bushwick.
If you didn’t experience NYC pre-2019, you didn’t really experience NYC.

NYC has been college football country for over 150 years If you don’t like it you can leave and give your apartment to someone who respects NYC legend Vince Lombardi & the other Seven Blocks of Granite who made up the legendary 1936 Fordham Rams football team
nyc is now full of the people you moved here to get away from

I say this with the utmost sincerity — I am very glad that people who need an algorithm to tell them what NYC neighborhood they should live in now have a powerful tool at their disposal!
where in nyc should you live? pick your office, filter down to what you're looking for, and see every neighborhood ranked by rent vs commute. built from craigslist and streeteasy listings puterfaction.github.io/commu…

Great to join Rocco Vertuccio on @NY1 this morning to discuss the NYC Voter Guide. Early voting starts a week from today, voter registration deadline is also a week from today, and we’re voting for 5 ballot proposals you may not know much about.

Hate when you go to a Johnny Blue Skies show and they keep covering Sturgill Simpson songs

Mets have a really good young core, Lindor might be healthy again, and of course Juan Soto is amazing. Glad there is a chance we’ll get to have a season in next year. Thank you Milwaukee Brewers! Don’t let the owners lock us out of a 2027 season!

The best Jewish name change story I’ve seen comes from this New York Times obituary. My friends’ grandfather A/B tested his last name. In a job search a Christian last name got a call back, a Jewish one didn’t. And the most Christian name he could think of was Pope.
Replying to @AlexEdelman
And we have all the records with the reasons. They’re amazing. In 1921, reason number one for changing your name? “Jew experiencing anti-Semitism because of Jewish-sounding name.” Number two? “non-Jew experiencing anti-Semitism because of Jewish sounding name.”

My grandmother lives alone at 95 in The Bronx because she can walk to her grocery store, her pharmacy, her friends’ apartments and whatever else she needs But I guess this guy thinks living here past a certain age can be a bad thing so maybe she should move ASAP
Past a certain age, living in NYC can be a bad thing.

This is obvious bait from a monetized account but also is loser mentality and the loser mentality needs to be countered

Immensely proud of my stepfather and every NYC Immigration Courtwatcher for being honored tonight by @JFREJNYC for their work on behalf of immigrants in our city. Today especially, but on all days, we need to stand up for and defend every single one of our neighbors.
