I was all set to buy a ticket for CLAYFACE, then I suddenly remembered how Hollywood injects MORAL INVERSION into everything it makes, so I read about the ending. Basically, Clayface murders 9 men (and 2 women!). The BLACK FEMALE doctor who invented him has a WHITE detective boyfriend who's assigned to investigate the case. And in the final chapter, guess who dies? THE WHITE HERO COP. So the villain who murdered ELEVEN people gets the HERO treatment... ...while the cop trying to stop him gets the VILLAIN'S DEATH. NO THANX, I'll see it for free on my TV.

Horror movie revisionism has led people to feel the genre is somehow universally respecable and its just not. There's very little to it and the exceptions are what critics have held otherwise and there's genuine good in keeping regressive trash out of public view
