Took some time to recap every move I have made in my lonesome dynasty league that I am in, to provide some context and info into how I play the game, along with where some of my inspiration has come from. Quite lengthy but could help a newer player get ideas from another newbie.
Well there it is. Quinn in DC, MacDonald in SEA. Fantasy implications depend on OC hires, assuming they call plays.
Small trades matter too. Had a surplus of 3rds, and I’m particularly thin on RB. Complete dart throw here
This is going to get tricky. I think Quinn, or even Glenn is the hire for Detroit, and MacDonald is still my guess still for Seattle. Fantasy production/stock will depend almost wholeheartedly on offensive hires.
I love this for Hurts’ stock next year. Moore will have them running a much more competent scheme than Brian Johnson. The WRs could definitely benefit, but I love this for Hurts/the RBs.
Zamir white is a SNEAKY buy this off-szn:
With jacobs hurt (wks 15-18), Zamir white accrued:
15: 70% snaps, 17/69/1 rush, 3/16/0 rec, 17.5 FPTS, RB12
16: 76%, 22/145/0, 14.5 FPTS, RB16
17: 57%, 20/71/0, 5/35/0, 15.6 FPTS, RB16
18: 73%, 25/112/0, 1/9/0, 13.1 FPTS, RB19
I think Washington goes for Johnson, Seattle goes for MacDonald. A Johnson hire would spike all pass catchers, and could make Gibson sneaky if he resigns, and the Seattle outlook depends on who they hire at OC.
The last two head coach openings of this cycle are the Seahawks and Commanders. Neither team is expected to hire anyone until next week, after Sunday’s conference championship games, per league sources.
Available coaches for the final two available spots include Bill Belichick, Mike Vrabel, Pete Carroll, Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, Anthony Weaver, Mike Macdonald, Ejiro Evero, Dan Quinn and Bobby Slowik.
Not a bad hire. His interim stint saw Ridley and Julio averaging about 90 yards/game. The rushing attack wasn’t great, but I would somewhat count on at least London to skyrocket and have his year 3 breakout.
QB Rankings! Still have to pull data + dynasty site ranking scores for rookies, but this is where I'm at with the top 16 assets in dynasty. Feel free to ask questions about values relative to 2024 rookie picks below.
Herbert will finally get his respect. The chargers will be a very Pete Carroll-esque team. I like Herbert/WRs just as much as before, love the possibility of them drafting RB (Corum?) and the fantasy production that could come with it.
Love the hire, can bring some non-stoic age offense to Tennessee. Probably raises levis’ stock more than Tyjae, but makes D-hop a nice looking veteran buy.
McBride is probably one of my biggest buys, TE3 on KTC, he’s tied to Kyler, a QB that loves his TEs, and has demanded a lot of targets. People will question his volume if they draft someone like MHJ/Nabers, but I don’t think it will change much.
This time last year, I had hardly any clue what dynasty fantasy football even was. I loved redraft, and have always loved football, but wanted a way to apply off-season knowledge to something worthwhile. A buddy of mine recommended dynasty, and I gave it a shot. (1/?)
My latest trade was C.Watson, Michael Wilson, the 2.08 and my 2025 2nd for Christian Kirk, and Kittle. I plan on competing next year, and couldn’t pass up this value, while also moving off a depreciating asset in Watson. (14/15)
I don’t expect anyone to read this all, it’s more for personal logging, but this also just shows that if you follow a process, whether that is @TradesIn5, @AdamHarstad, @DynastyXFactor, or even your own!! You can succeed in dynasty, and have a lot of fun doing it!
