Loven er omstridt av minst tre grunner:
1) Personvernet er krenket. Datatilsynet i Norge slakter hele greia.
2) Også rettssikkerheten krenkes. I norsk rettssikkerhetstradisjon har politiet måttet ha tillatelse fra en domstol for å gjøre noe som nærmer seg en ransakelse, men innholdet på mobilen din kan havne på et politikontor uten at kriminalitet engang har funnet sted, og helt uten at noen rettskyndige har vurdert begrunnelsen.
3) Ikke minst har innføringen av chatkontrollen skjedd på tross av gode, demokratiske spilleregler. Ikke bare i EU, der loven (som gjelder alle medlemsland) ble vedtatt til tross for at flertallet stemte mot (!). Nå bekrefter digitaliseringsminister Karianne Tung (AP) overfor Subjekt at Norge allerede har innført loven.
Roboter leter aktivt etter mistenkelige samtaler på mobilen din. Den flagger innhold og slår alarm mens du ikke aner det. Dette innholdet blir automatisk videresendt til manuell gjennomgang. Vurderes treffet som «reelt», rapporteres det videre til et senter, som igjen sender saken til politiet.
Var det ikke verdt å ta en debatt om dette, hverken på Stortinget eller i offentligheten, før vi bare … snikinnførte det?
