NEW: @TPN_Labs says TPN-007 is live on Hugging Face. The 2.32 GB model was built under a 4.2 GiB target and runs on @Gratis_AI.

@TPN_Labs (Bittensor SN65) compresses models through competitive optimization. Miners shrink them under real hardware limits and benchmark floors. Validators re-run the tests. The smallest model that still clears the bar wins. @Gratis_AI then takes those models (or any model from @huggingface) and runs them locally in a browser or desktop app.
But the caveat is that local inference still depends on your hardware.
What’s notable:
• Models are optimized on-chain. Recent competition cut a model from ~17GB to 7.71GB while improving the benchmark score from 66.57% to 74.93%.
• Gratis requires no setup. Pick a model or load one from Hugging Face - it downloads once and runs on your device.
• Privacy is default. Every prompt stays on your machine. Works offline after the initial download.
• No API fees, no account required.
Quick example: A model that previously needed a high-end GPU can now be compressed enough to run on a normal laptop, then used through Gratis without ever leaving your device.
