Really enjoyed speaking at this event today hosted by @UKMisBrussels. Flows of students for study exchange between @UUKIntl member universities and EU partners continue despite the challenges of Covid and Brexit. Lots still to be done to make things easier for students!

Great to be able to bring together students, universities, employers, and international partners for a round table discussion on international mobility. The benefits are clear - need government support to widen access and improve student experience.

Employers frustrated that there are no longer visa routes for international students to undertake internships in the UK, depriving them of talent pool who bring invaluable language and intercultural business skills.

Can't emphasise enough just how important European students are to the UK HE sector - hopefully the insights in this report can go some way to supporting the argument within universities and UK gov for continued prioritisation of European partnerships and recruitment activity.

I wrote a blog! Some reasons to be cheerful regarding the post-covid recovery of student mobility. Securing UK government support through @TuringScheme_UK a crucial first step but need to keep pushing for it go from strength to strength.

Ambition should be for continued expansion of the scheme to provide transformative experiences to more students, and capacity building activity in schools, colleges, and universities. @educationgovuk must avoid slipping into real-term funding cuts year on year due to inflation
