When I listen to French I'm surprised that I can understand it. Doing something little by little is actually the best way to succeed at it. Being discouraged when you face difficulties is normal but should not stop you from learning

One of the clearest and dearest foreshadowings in the Bible. 🔥
You know what wrecked me when I was newly Christian? Genesis 22. For years as a Muslim, I was told the story was about Ishmael. Then I actually read it. I think the bigger topic isn't Isaac or Ishmael. It's this: Why would God ask Abraham to sacrifice his son in the first place? What kind of God does that? The answer hit me like a freight train, because it shattered my Muslim worldview. God wasn't being cruel, He was painting a picture. Abraham never goes through with sacrificaing Isaac. God stops him, then God provides a ram in his place. That action is not just a test or an isolated story: That's prophetic. It's a blueprint. The blueprint goes: A father. A son. A sacrifice. A substitute. You see where I am going with this. Genesis 22 is actually the heartbeat of the Gospel. God was foreshadowing the day when He Himself would provide the sacrifice. Not for one man. Not only for one family. But for the whole world. Of course, salvation wasn't earned by Abraham's performance. It came through God's provision. You can recieve this substitute and gift. Here's what made me stop and think: The Quran retells the story of Genesis 22, but removes the name of the son. Why? Because once you start following the thread through Genesis, the prophets, and the covenant promises, you eventually have to wrestle with the Lamb that comes later. You have to wrestle with Jesus. The perfect sacrifice that every previous sacrifice pointed toward. And that's when I realized: The story was never ultimately about Abraham. It was always about what God was going to do for us. And there's nothing we can do to earn His approval! We can only receive the sacrifice He already provided.

BREAKING NEWS REPORT: EBOLA PATIENT EVACUATED FROM NIGERIA VIA AIR AMBULANCE The index patient diagnosed with Ebola virus in Nigeria has been evacuated from the country early this morning through an air ambulance at the private jet wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, ARISE News sources informed us. ARISE News was tipped off by a news source that the patient who is a woman and wife of a Swiss diplomat in Nigeria would be flown out of Nigeria by 6am this morning through a medivac plane which was already at the airport waiting to evacuate her. Our crew deployed to the General Aviation Terminal later obtained pictures of the arrival of a convoy of vehicular ambulance from Abuja city centre with diplomatic vehicles in the entourage. The three vehicle convoy had an international Agency vehicle entering the Private Jet section of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport. Airport officials cordoned off the private wing of the airport but ARISE News eventually obtained videos of a medivac plane with crews eventually evacuating the sick passenger suspected to be the Ebola index case due to the special nature of the medical evacuation. A source told ARISE News that the Federal Government will make the announcement of the medical evacuation only after the plane has taken off and exited the Nigerian airspace.

Based on how old you are, you can remember when Made in Japan was derogatory. Same with made in Taiwan or made in China The simple way to develop is to simply copy what others have done until you can do it better

You don't need to collect number to do this. You don't even need to know their name. You can simply ask if they are going your way and offer to split the bill Regardless of gender, most people would say yes
I do this whenever I travel by air. I’ll familiarise myself with whoever I’m sitting next to, collect their number, and ask if someone is picking them up or if they’re ordering a ride. Once I hear “I’m ordering a ride,” congratulations, you’ve just become my airport taxi. 😂 I’ll discreetly use my phone to snap the car plate number and send it, alongside the person’s details, to my DSS friend in case anything happens. Once you drop me, na block straight 🫣😂 Abeg, those airport taxi fares are not beans jare😂

Last week, I shared my experience with some Hausa people at the market, and APC people said I was lying. Well, I was out again today in a predominantly Hausa community and spoke with some Hausa people I bought things from. In fact, most of our conversations were not recorded. These are just two people I got permission to record after our conversations.
PO is more popular now. I live in Abuja and went to the market today. All the Hausa people I spoke with said they’re voting for him. BAT is so unpopular that traders randomly bring up how bad the economy is. Even people who aren’t part of the conversation will chip in to say they don’t want him back. A few said they don’t trust Atiku because he’s Fulani. I don’t know what informs that sentiment, maybe insecurity? I tried to understand what they meant but my Hausa no reach that one. Some even showed me their PVCs and said Nigeria isn’t just about tribe or religion. I shock o! Very interesting.

My earliest lesson on this was in secondary school: I bought a birthday gift for someone from my pocket money. I had to prepare her mind that it was a little gift to avoid raising her hopes as she seemed really eager. She followed me to my hostel, where I handed it over.

PSG beat Barcelona there day before yesterday. In a packed stadium too
After weeks of rioting in Paris no one was killed. Which technically means your child is safer attending a riot in Paris than a school in America.

Mind the gap
On December 30, 1952, London bus driver Albert Gunter dramatically jumped his Route 78 double-decker bus across a rising gap on Tower Bridge. Realizing the bridge was lifting unexpectedly on a green light, the former WWII tank driver accelerated, clearing the opening with 20 passengers on board.... With 20 terrified passengers on board, the red Routemaster leaped across a three-foot gap as the bridge continued to lift. The front wheels landed safely on the opposite side, though the impact broke the suspension and injured Gunter’s leg. Miraculously, everyone survived with only minor injuries. Albert was later rewarded with a £10 bonus for his bravery — roughly £400 today — and became a London legend. His daring leap remains one of the most extraordinary moments in public transport history. #drthehistories

The image attached here is a fabricated/AI-generated depiction that greatly exaggerates the 1952 event; no real photo of the bus jump exists and the actual gap was only about 3 feet. leadstories.com/hoax-alert/202… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1952_Towe… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
