Do I LIKE that a company with a long history in Nova Scotia, now has ownership outside of our borders - no. BUT it’s a private business. They have a board & shareholders. They are going to make decisions they feel is best for the business. This has nothing to do with our gov’t.

Guess charging taxpayers $16k for unjustified hotel stays = quality of work? Explain this to the person on ODSP getting up to $611/month for housing, the $1427/month to live, and the 75% clawback for monies earned over $1k per month.πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ
NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none." Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant β€” just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays. The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

Extra $$ for people who don’t have internet or stable internet, who don’t have a computer or smart phone, who may have capacity issues, people who prefer to talk with someone to get help with bookings….and the list goes on. Accessibility matters. Customer service matters.☹️

Mental health care IS health care. Universal mental health care services help eliminate barriers to care by helping with: financial costs, public wait lists, earlier intervention, & simpler access. Ask Nova Scotia - it’s a slow roll out but better now than never. #KidsCantWait
Therapy is often the first line of recommended treatment in paediatrics for mental health issues. Sadly many parents cannot afford it or have very limited coverage thru work. As always the children suffer. @SylviaJonesMPP @fordnation

Such a tragic and sad day. For those who have died, those injured, their colleagues, families, and friends, the broader community around CFB Wainwright, and all of those who serve in the CAF and feel the impact of this loss, our hearts and thoughts go out to you. πŸ’”πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ’”
It is with profound sadness that we confirm that a fire incident at CFB Wainwright on October 17 resulted in fatalities and injuries. Our immediate priority is supporting those affected and notifying next of kin. canada.ca/en/department-nati…

Seriously, the two of ye need a new song sheet.
Carney claimed he had special skills no one else had. He knew who Trump was when he made that promise. Hire him, he’d get a deal and manage the economy well. That was his pitch. The results? More and higher tariffs and massive job losses.

Uh-huh ….nothing like stating the obvious β€”β€” of what we use to have. I’m not sure the leadership of the country to the south of us really cares, in fact they have made it clear they don’t.

Hmmm…wonder what else happened to since then that could have possibly impacted prices? I wonder, I wonder? Any unanticipated wars? Oil or diesel crisis? Tariffs? Anyone? Anyone?
Liberals promised to stabilize grocery prices by Thanksgiving… back in 2023. Since then, food prices shot up 10%. The Liberals are costing you. Cut fuel taxes and fast-track Canadian refining and transportation infrastructure to lower the cost of your groceries: conservative.ca/cpc/emergenc…

World Mental Health Day. Ways to support someone with a mental illness 1. Ask how you can help - It may seem simple, but give the opportunity to tell you what they need. The fact that you ask will mean something because it will show them you care and are making an effort to help. #WorldMentalHealthDay #WMHD #youmatter #mentalhealth #mentalillness #psychology #psychiatry

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay Millions of people with #mentalhealth conditions remain isolated in institutions rather than receiving the support they need to live and participate in society. People with #lived experience want to live with dignity, freedom and support. They want rights-based, person-centred care, rather than custodial systems. We must listen to people who have #experience institutional care and involve them at every stage of deinstitutionalization. They have the #right to access person-centred care, housing, education, work and social supports in the community. who.int/campaigns/world-ment…
