Okay? It being part of the disorder doesn’t mean what they did wasn’t manipulative lol this goes way beyond empathy for people struggling with a severe personality disorder and is almost anti-recovery in the way it justifies the disorder’s worst symptoms
Replying to @voidpires
Sorry your BPD friend in crisis made you feel icky. Sorry they’re in crisis so often. I’m sorry it’s sooooo burdensome to YOU. BPD is a disorder so severe there are places that recommend assisted suicide as the only treatment. Suck it up.

Genuinely curious how you watch a trilogy that very blatantly spells out the corruptive dogma and hubris of both the Jedi Order and the Republic at large, with a protagonist explicitly stating "it's not the Jedi Way" multiple times, and come out of it thinking his turn was sudden
It’s so funny because this scene completely fails to communicate anything that it is aiming for. Anakin’s fall to the dark side is nonsensical and comes out of nowhere.

The hilarious part is that in his anti George Lucas delirium and cultish deference to practical effects, JJ Abrams made more VFX shots in The Force Awakens than there were in The Phantom Menace.
>”The Prequels have horrible visuals!” >Looks inside. >Stunning visuals of spectacular, alien landscapes. The only argument they ever have against this is frying loudly “it’s CGI” as if CGI is inherently bad.

Hey so you guys know that there’s tons of different sounds in the ocean all the time and even if you suspect an implosion, you still have to try and actually confirm everyone is dead, right?
It’s pretty insane that OceanGate knew the sub had imploded and still allowed multiple countries to deploy massive resources to stage some kind of rescue.

“What the fuck is an ocean” boy vs “islanders die, god laughs” girl is not exactly my idea of a character parallel.
She's exactly what Eren Yeager was, but she's only hated because she's a girl.

I know I’m not the only one who saw Hayden lose and then catch the lightsaber midair, these moves are fucking insane
Early test footage of Anakin Skywalker’s duel with Count Dooku in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith featured a much flashier fighting style than what appeared in the final film. Anakin’s choreography included elaborate spins, aggressive flourishes, and incredibly confident lightsaber techniques that highlighted his arrogance and belief that he was becoming unstoppable. However, Christopher Lee was already in his 80s during production, meaning many of the more physically demanding sequences required stunt doubles and careful editing. Some of the elaborate choreography was ultimately simplified or removed as the filmmakers refined the confrontation. The final duel placed greater emphasis on Anakin’s emotional transformation rather than simply showcasing his lightsaber abilities. Under Palpatine’s manipulation, Anakin executes a defeated and defenseless Dooku, crossing a moral boundary that brings him closer to the dark side. What initially appeared to be another spectacular Jedi battle became one of the most important turning points in Anakin’s journey toward becoming Darth Vader.

People saying he wouldn’t are actually braindead. “He wouldn’t ever do that!” You’re talking about a man who knew from season 1 that humans were the real enemy. The man was fighting against the enemies of his nation before anyone in the show realized they even were a nation.
I’m curious. If Erwin became the Colossal Titan instead of Armin, would he have supported Eren’s Rumbling?

No wonder I vehemently hate this stance lol It’s rooted in a fundamental belief that you actually can possess some degree of ownership over an adult person, that your wants supersede their right to self-governance Many lovers out there are tyrants masked as partners.
Did you agree to be your husband’s exclusive source of sex? Oh you did? Then yes, you do owe him sex. Either that or tell him that he can go fuck other women. You can’t have it both ways.

Pyroclastic take: You, in fact, do not owe your partner sex. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. If you want to, you should. If you don’t want to, that’s alright. People have an incontrovertible right to free will and autonomy and too many of you are okay with destroying that.
Hot take: you DO owe your partner physical intimacy Not as some free-use sex slave but as their sole romantic partner Humans derive a lot of their emotional attachment through physical touch and taking that away is cruel and neglectful. I think that becoming essentially roommates is an awful fate that befalls a ton of relationships. Its understandable if you feel like intimacy is a chore. We've all been tired, stressed, or sick. But your partner has physical and emotional needs that you promised to fulfill in exchange for exclusivity and love when you agreed to get together. You dont get to neglect that if you can help it. Modern life is busy and crazy and sometimes it feels like everyone demands too much from you. But thats why you lean on your partner. You owe it to them (and they to you) to never let your intimacy grow complacent!

Beatles contrarianism requires you to listen only to songs like Yellow Submarine and I Saw Her Standing there, ignore the artistic progression seen throughout their discography altogether, and then shrug your shoulders so you can go on Twitter and say “Erhm, actually, they suck”
*deep inhale* Guys, it’s The Beatles. Formulaic music that got hyped into genius status by a perfect storm of timing and savvy media, not actual skill. Expert exploitation of trends already pioneered by others. They’re a marketing phenomenon that got called the greatest because they sold a lot of records to herd-mentality teenagers, not because the music itself was ever the most advanced, demanding, or enduring rock ever made.

People are coping but the EA Battlefront games are inferior to the originals in nearly every way except for graphics.
I'm confused wasn't like battlefront 2 dog shit why are people excited

Yes the island of ignorant amnesiacs that were attacked by a belligerent nation in a clear act of war should just shut up and let the world murder them because fighting total destruction with total destruction is bad. That’s a ridiculous message and Isayama is a bad writer.
It’s honestly tragic how some fans turned eren into a national hero, proving that Isayama's message completely went over their heads

You’re right to be perplexed. It’s nonsensical, despite what the story tries to assert from that point forward. It’s almost as if Eren being a psychopathic misanthrope that hates people for existing is a retcon that completely divorces his motivations from the core conflict
I’m really just perplexed by the idea of genocide being the primary act Eren resorts to when I reflect on his motivations deriving from his disappointment with the existence of humanity beyond the walls because it's really just fucking stupid when you think about it

Yes Pantera shouting WHITE POWER on stage, ranting about black-on-black violence, and Black Sabbath performing one of the most popular anti-Vietnam war songs ever made on the regular are both totally not political.
I’ve been into Metal my whole life; seen Pantera, Slayer, Machinehead, Maiden, Korn, Black Sabbath, Kiss and dozens of others. None of them spewed shite about politics. Not one.

Nothing screams apolitical like testifying in front the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and lobbying to kill file sharing sites like Napster while making songs about government corruption If I’m to interpret this as thematically void singsong escapism, then your music is trash.

We here at Metallica would NEVER do something as uncool as talk about politics, brah. People come to our shows to hear us mock you for killing yourself (Kurt Cobain) or for being an addict (Layne Staley) while we’re closeted about our severe alcohol addiction! Pathetic.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield took a swipe at artists who use their concerts to lecture audiences about politics during the band's Las Vegas residency. In what could easily be seen as a dig at the likes of Macklemore, Hetfield told the crowd: "Unless you live in Vegas, you've come a long way to spend some time with Metallica. We're grateful for that. Your travels, the money you spend, the time it took, thanks for coming to celebrate with us. And I just gotta say, Metallica is not here, like some other entertainers, to influence you with their bullshit. We are here to forget about all the outside shit. Metallica's agenda is love, energy and heavy music, baby!" Hetfield has rarely spoken openly about his politics, but past interviews suggest he holds many conservative values. On Joe Rogan's podcast in 2016, he explained how he'd moved his family away from the San Francisco Bay Area, having grown tired of what he saw as its political intolerance and elitism. As a Metallica fan, this is incredibly based! 🤘

I have allowed and will continue to allow people who commission me to use the music I make for commercial purposes with no royalties owed. All I ask is you credit me and shout me out lol sorry I just think if I make something for YOU, it should belong to YOU. Just me though.
People not understanding that when you buy a commission the art is not always entirely yours to do whatever the fuck you want with it is crazy, most artists have tos and contracts where you agree to specified use for each individual commission.(1/3)

Halo 2 was a bad game.
Is it just me or has Halo twitter just gotten dumber since the Activision announcement. Halo 2 and 3 are like the most space opera esque games in the series.
