Today, @USTradeRep Greer and I spoke with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng ahead of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and President Xi's meeting in September.
In our discussion, I emphasized that we expect Beijing to fully meet its commitments on rare earths and U.S. agricultural products. We also discussed implementation of the Trade and Investment Boards as a mechanism to secure concrete progress toward a more balanced, fair, and constructive U.S.-China economic relationship.

They say beef causes biodiversity breakdown, high methane emissions, global warming.

Big news for American farmers!
@SecBessent and @POTUS have expanded Venezuelan fertilizer exports to the U.S., bolstering the supply of an important agricultural input.
There is much more work to do, but this is a huge step that puts farm security and farmers first! 🚜💪
The Trump administration has been rapidly delivering on @POTUS' promise to help restore Venezuela’s economy to benefit both the American and Venezuelan people. Today, the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control updated several Venezuela-related licenses to further support the revitalization of the country’s energy sector and help ensure a well-supplied global commodity market. These authorizations expand permitted investment and activities in Venezuela’s energy industry and allow for the export of fertilizer directly to the U.S. to support our great American farmers.

The yield on the 10 year US government bond is flirting again with the 4.60% level.
It would not surprise me if this yield traded in the 4.75-5.00% range for a good part of 2025.
