There are no other words for it. #Oxbow has been trashed. Not much left but bare earth, fencing and paths. Once a refuge for Nature. No more.

5120 people contributed to the crowdfunder for @ELWaterworks, many of them local people. With the cancellation of the Low Hall Lido by @wfcouncil #ELWP is now the only option for open water swimming in Waltham Forest. Please email your local Councillors crowdfunder.co.uk/p/elwp

Check out our 'dead' Christmas tree in Bunhill Fields. Assembled from materials found on site. Should be a cosy home for invertebrates over winter @BunhillHeritage @MPGA @cityoflondon

As we know the official @hackneycouncil
SINC Review by @WildLondon recommended adding this orchard, @EasternCurve & @GrowingKitchen as new nature reserves but LBH has failed to act on the recommendations.
The whole point of SINC status is to protect sites valuable for wildlife.

This transformation represents so much energy, care and commitment from a small group of people. Sadly though, the fate of this special space hangs in the balance due to the visionless TMO now saying that they only gave consent for the trees to be planted temporarily!!! 1/2

Sadly our community orchard remains under threat from the TMO board who have no idea about the climate & biodiversity crisis and continue to pressure us to sign an agreement that means they can remove the orchard site from our management at their whim.

Sadly neither of the kingfisher pairs on the Lea at Hackney Marshes were successful in breeding this summer. They are still around & will now live a solitary life until next year.

Deep water berming in a difficult to access site needed a novel approach. The prefabricated brushwood constructed berm is assembled on the bank, towed into position and staked. β at Hackney, London

The Lansdowne Drive Bus Gate consultation to extend the hours was closed three months ago. We've heard nothing since.
@hackneycouncil can we please get the outcome/report on this one question (2 option) questionnaire?
>> Ideally, that the bus gate will be extended to 24hrs/7days
