Yankees and sometimes other stuff @TRYSTANVRlELING

I think over the last few years, the Yankees have been in a bit of a rebuild. They’ve been reluctant to part with their top prospects and most of the trades they’ve made have been for players with multiple years of control. Getting ready for a Post-Judge Yankees.
"The Yankees don’t rebuild. They don’t try to stockpile high draft picks because they don’t get them. They draft 25th to 30th every year, so they can’t rebuild the farm system as easily as other teams. The Dodgers pick in the same spots, but they always have one of the best farm systems."

Dodgers chance to win the World Series on the day before the playoffs (Fangraphs) 2024: 16.5% 2025: 16.3% 2026: 37.7%
The funniest part of this is that this year was by far the Dodgers best chance at winning the world series of the past three years. You just cannot predict playoff baseball.

Check out the Yankees bunt defense compared to the Dodgers. Jazz Chisholm and Kiké Hernandez start in the exact same spot. Yet when Kiké spots the bunt, he sprints to first to get the out while Jazz just wanders around aimlessly and the runner reaches. Losing on the margins.

Kinda insane to hear the guy that slugged .125 in the 2024 World Series and couldn’t be bothered to charge a ball say this. Like this is YOUR fault
“We just keep doing the same thing every year and we don’t win” What change do the Yankees need to finally win? ⬇️

Grisham and Jazz will go on podcasts in 2031 to say that the reason the Yankees didn't win was because their org was flawed

Thinking about how the Rays traded a draft pick that MLB gives them for free and doesn't give to big market teams for their all-star closer
The #Orioles are acquiring the No. 37 pick in the 2025 MLB Draft in return for RHP Bryan Baker, according to a source. Rays had 2 Competitive Balance A picks after 1st round (37, 42), parting with one in order to land Baker. @Ken_Rosenthal was first on the return.

You can have a pro-analytics manager that can also motivate his players to be the best versions of themselves

Boone would leave him in there, he would never improve, and certain people (you know who you are), would say "Who cares about his defense when he hits 40 homers a year"
