Tucked away on New Oxford Street, James Smith & Sons has been making umbrellas in London for nearly 200 years. What started as a small workshop in Foubert’s Place in 1830 grew into the wonderfully old-school shop that still stands at 53 New Oxford Street today.
They’ve weathered changing fashions, two world wars and countless London downpours — and somehow, the shop itself has barely changed. Victorian storefront, handmade umbrellas, walking sticks and enough British charm to make you almost hope for rain🇬🇧☔️
