Remember January 6, 2021
Remember the people who enabled it.
Remember our national shame.
Remember
If Texas doesn’t elect this man…. Then decency no longer matters.
I have never seen a starker difference between 2 candidates. This isn’t “two flawed candidates” and having to choose between the lesser of two evils. Talarico is legitimately an excellent choice for Senator.
Wow. In unreleased Diary of a CEO interview, @JamesTalarico says “Ken Paxton is a child of god.”

I just don't get the whole Dylan Larkin drama
There has to be more to the story, right?
Is there some sort of player friction that hasn't been leaked... sort of an Avisail Garcia type of thing?
Maybe the Canadian/international players are holding grudges from the Olympics?

So, to recap the Larkin situation, this year he has:
- Said he wants to be a Red Wing for life
- Missed the playoffs again (scored one even strength goal after the Olympics btw)
- Demanded a trade (but only to the top 3 US contenders)
- Lost the captaincy
- Begrudgingly showed up to camp (but wouldn't *really* answer any questions & got "injured)
- Decided to play & said his focus was on winning games
- Expanded his trade list (to the top 10 US contenders)
- Publicly quit on his team for a second time
Missing anything? Seems like a really easy guy to root for
It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.
Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t afford to eat a burger at Mar-a-Lago OR Cheesecake Factory.
Is it just me or is the Trump economy worse for everyone except the billionaires and oligarchs?
What say you?
Wuh?
Look… the "Today's News" on X's feed all have an unmistakably right-leaning slant… and the bottom one is Elon's favorite attack line in the Senate race he is trying to buy.
What could we learn from this?
“Roy Cooper’s sustained lead over Michael Whatley in North Carolina is being driven in large part by strong support among moderates, true independents and women,”

Republican Party in 2026: not at all offended about being compared to Saddam Hussein, but dying on the hill that the WH should look like a Cheesecake Factory.
People are missing the part where he says a “Cheesecake Factory DECORATED by Saddam Hussein”
The Saddam Hussein part was the punchline
But whatever… Cheesecake Factory is the most overpriced generic-food eestaurant out there. It’s where you can spend $200 for a $80 meal
I gotta say, his "Pick another protein?" commercial is my favorite of the entire election cycle.

Now this is an issue that the religious right ought to be worked up about. Massive Sunday youth sports in lieu of going to church is far more corrosive to this country's collective morality than a half dozen trans athletes scattered around the country.
As youth sports booms, churches compete for American families' Sundays axios.com/2026/10/11/youth-s…

During the January 6th attack on the nation's Capitol, Daniel Rodriguez drove a stun gun into the neck of Officer Mike Fanone. He was knocked unconscious, had a heart attack and suffered a traumatic brain injury. It ended his career.
Rodriguez got over 12 years in prison for his assault on police. On day one, Donald Trump gave him a "full, complete and unconditional pardon" and sent him home.
This is far and away the most corrupt White House in American history.
