Joe Mazzulla on teams losing big leads in NBA:
“I think training the psychology of when you have a 25pt lead is the recipe for winning…You have to look at it from a different lens, it's human nature to say a team is up 25pts, they have to win. That's not how it works...It’s an issue in the entire league."

Joe Mazzulla says the Celtics analytics staff studied situations where teams led by at least 20 over the last decade.
He says that when you’re up by 20 in today’s game, not only is growing that to 30 not a realistic expectation, but due to variance, you’re really up by 15.
It will most likely shrink to 6 or 7. It comes down to how you then handle that situation.

Doesn't want certain type of McDAA that feel just OK about UF. "They can go to Ark/UK. I’ll get [underrated] guys, play as a team & beat them

Good offense does not depend on the defense “messing up”
Instead, it capitalizes when the defense does exactly what they are coached to do. The defense executes perfectly and the offense exploits the tradeoff.

If you think every practice needs to be a “clean practice” reevaluate. Practice must have chaos.
