Midterms werent about getting our ideal candidate on the ballot right now, they were about exercising leverage. Mainstream Republicans take right wing voters for granted because they assume we have nowhere else to go (they were wrong). By demonstrating that our bloc will withhold support, back primary challengers and let Republicans lose when they betray core promises we raise the price of selling out. The goal wasn't to fix everything in one midterm, it's to force the GOP establishment to realize they cannot win elections without moving toward our platform in the next cycle.
