Sin embargo, no podemos justificar lo incorrecto en la falta de oportunidades;

The NYPD is short thousands of cops — it can’t fix that staffing crisis by letting out-of-control Department doctors force sick and injured cops back to work before they’re ready.

I strongly urge people to support @DataColada — investigating scientific claims and data fraud is incredibly important for a healthy and trustworthy science.
It’s horrifying to me that these rigorous scientific investigations (that were independently confirmed) could lead to a $25 million lawsuit! That would destroy most people.
It says a LOT that over 750 people have already donated their own personal money to support their legal defense.
I’ve donated too. Donating is a costly signal about how much you value this role in science and how investigations into fraud will not be silenced.
It affirms the value of whistleblowers in science. gofund.me/70c497b1

Maybe researchers will be honest if they sign a statement attesting that they personally collected and analyzed the data.
Can’t blame it on the RA.

I donated $1,000 to support @DataColada’s defense against Gino’s ridiculous lawsuit. Believers in open science must stand together.
Frankly, @HarvardHBS should step up and cover their costs. Leif, Joe, and Uri have done them an immeasurable service.
Be a part of the change you wish to see in the world:

The news is that Nobel Prize winner @R_Thaler is supporting @DataColada in the 25m $ lawsuit by Francesca Gino against them and @Harvard.
Replication of empirical results is essential for science to work properly.

This is the field in which Francesca Gino thrived: She published 25 OBHDP, 9 ManSci, 7 AMJ, 3 Research In OB, 3 ASQ, 2 OrgScience.... The fraud is a single person's responsibility, but the failure to discover the fraud is the responsibility of the entire field. 2/4

Bizarrely, Francesca Gino also seems to agree that sanctions against her were warranted, arguing that they were too harsh. Not arguing that they were unjustified.

Francesca Gino filed a SLAPP against three scientists who caught her committing fraud.
They did great work: there's no doubt whatsoever that Gino is a fraud, and tons of resources have been wasted thanks to her lies.
Here's a link to their legal defense fund.
Uri, Joe and Leif have done the field an immense service by calling out fraud in Gino's work. Now they need our help to fight this outrageous lawsuit.
I have chipped in $1,000: Match me if you can. Otherwise every dollar helps!
