Bring on the CHIPS! Excited to share that @Helion_Energy has signed a letter of intent with @CommerceGov to receive $175 million to build the next generation of pulsed power semiconductors here in the USA. Faster, cooler, and smaller than we can buy overseas today.

Not one but TWO patents!
Earlier this month, we received two patents for technologies we use with our generator:
1. High-Speed Switching Apparatus for Electromagnetic Coils: a critical component of our pulsed power approach to fusion
2. Hybrid Gettering Diffusion Pump: helps create the vacuum conditions needed for fusion to occur
These patents represent years of building and iteration, and I'm especially proud of the ingenuity of the team who are solving problems that have never been solved before.
Congratulations to Andrew Hine, Christopher Pihl, James Pihl, Jim True, George Votroubek, Anthony Pancotti, and everyone else who contributed to this work.

Today we're announcing the final close of our upsized and oversubscribed Series G, bringing the round to $500M! After initially closing the round earlier this summer, we are excited to bring on several new investors and to have a round that includes crossover, pension, and sovereign wealth investors.
Technical milestones remain the most important to me and the company, but this new funding demonstrates the growing demand for, and confidence in, fusion energy and @Helion_Energy 's ability to deliver fusion energy to the grid.
Let’s build!
A construction feat: beams spanning more than 224 feet without intermediate columns. Once fully assembled, the generator hall will be about the size of one and a half football fields, end zone to end zone.

Today Helion Energy announced their expansion with a downtown Seattle office. Helion has grown 10x since moving to Everett 4 years ago — from nearly 80 employees to 800. They will now employ Washingtonians in Everett, Seattle and Chelan County.
Washington state's fusion ecosystem is leading the world. That's why I was excited to speak at Fusion Week in the Tri-Cities. Our state is home to the cutting-edge research that makes this industry possible, and the first commercial fusion energy facility under construction. Excited for more clean energy and good jobs in our state.

First vacuum pump down on Tiny Merge complete!
The team reached the machine’s target base pressure of 1x10-6 torr in under an hour, allowing the team to verify that the machine can achieve high vacuum before additional hardware is installed.
