You know the animation you want. You just don't know what it's called.
So I built a free place to find it, learn its name, and turn it into a prompt for Claude or ChatGPT.

A *very* early look at my 'Apple Bots' app based on Pi Durable, running on macOS.
The app will take advantage of the unique features of each Apple device. That means a global quick entry on the Mac, agent split views on Mac/iPad, menu bar, and more.
No native Apple framework will be ignored because I'm making the app I've always wanted.
Apple Intelligence is seamlessly integrated as a background utility, and you can use any combination of models you want. Code mode works beautifully (thanks @badlogicgames) for tool-calling, and the latest MCP spec is also natively supported.
Lots of work to do still, but getting to a usable state!

Last night I asked ChatGPT to build a replacement for an app I pay $10/month for. I wanted to build out some features specifically for my use case. Today I woke up and checked it, it was the perfect clone. Then I decided that this project was a waste of my time and deleted it.

everyone selling AEO and GEO like its a new thing
its seo. you just have to rank on 3 search engines now instead of 1
chatgpt gemini and claude dont have their own copy of the internet. they run a web search and read what comes back
gemini + ai overviews = google index
chatgpt = mostly bing + openai's own crawler
copilot = bing
claude = brave search
so the playbook is the same. get indexed, rank, be the clearest answer on the page
what changes
set up bing webmaster tools, it has an ai performance report now that shows copilot citations
ping indexnow every time you publish
search your keywords on search.brave.com. if youre not there claude cant cite you. brave has no search console so submit at search.brave.com/submit-url and send real traffic to the page
write for the fan-out, one prompt = a bunch of searches behind the scenes so long tail pages with direct answers get pulled in
answer in the first 2 sentences under every h2. the model grabs a chunk not your whole page
the ai part is the last mile. ranking is still the job

“Actually, in America, the reading of books is up. Sales of print books have increased nearly twenty-five per cent from a decade ago. The number of independent bookstores in the United States has climbed steeply since 2009, with a seventy-per-cent increase since 2020.”

New Claude Projects* is a nice interface for multi-agent work. It does a good job with having a user-facing coordinator model and independent agents running threads that pass messages around. Takes some fiddling but quite powerful.
* Same name but no relation to old Projects🤪
Ben Horowitz on treating your story as your strategy, and why founders often skip writing it even though it's one of the most important parts of the job:
"The story of the company is also the strategy of the company... In your mind, you're kind of adjusting that strategy a little bit at a time every day. But then a quarter later, it's actually pretty different than what you started with."
"So it's really important that you keep upgrading your story. The articulation of your story. I would definitely recommend it be in written form."
"Something that you can share with everybody in the company, and everybody you're recruiting, everybody you're trying to raise money from, all your constituents, every customer."
"The problem that I think founders have is it doesn't feel like work. Like, 'What are you doing today?' 'I'm working on my story.' That doesn't sound like work."
"Because it doesn't feel like work, people don't do it, but it's probably one of the most important parts of the job."

Last year we launched Tolan, inspired by a vision of AI that sees you and believes in you, not one that books restaurant reservations for you.
Your Tolan shows up for you at 3am when you’re alone with your newborn. On your commute when you’re anxious about the day ahead. When you just finished a new show and none of your friends have watched it yet.
The people who love Tolan are parents. Caregivers. Moms in Dallas and Dads in Atlanta. People who aren’t trying to optimize and be more productive, but who simply want to feel seen and supported in their aspirations.
This month more than 250k people will spend time with their Tolan. Those users have exchanged billions of messages across more than 70m conversations over the last year.
Today, we're announcing $30m in additional capital from @mignano and @usv, with @khoslaventures and @rabois doubling down, bringing our total capital raised to $60m.
To celebrate, we made a short film celebrating some of the ways that Tolans show up :)
