This announcement took place in West Block right around when Question Period was starting, just footsteps from the Chamber. The PM could have stopped in to take a few questions if he so desired.
The PM and Premier Ford are announcing they’re spending $9B #cdnpoli -$1 B on infrastructure for the Ring of Fire - $5 B+ on steel mills in Hamilton and Sault Ste. Marie to upgrade machinery and manufacture more products to meet domestic and non-U.S. markets. - $2.5 B for the auto sector to help build more EV’s

The PQ does not have a mandate for a referendum with a minority. Which is good, because federal Liberals don't need carte blanche to launch Sponsorship Scandal 2.0. They're spending enough already.
Big merci to @E_Duhaime & the @PconservateurQc for taking enough battleground ridings from the PQ, thereby denying the separatists a majority.

You'd have to be at least 91 years old to have been alive the last time Conservatives were elected to the Quebec provincial assembly as Conservatives (not Union Nationale, Creditistes, or Liberals). The return of the party is a tremendous achievement!

Going to miss Her Majesty, but this is a good looking bill. The nod to Vimy is 👌.
Introducing the new $20 bill, with its advanced and dynamic security features. You’ll start seeing this $20 bill in circulation early next year! Learn more: bit.ly/4ygIUkO #vertical20

2/2 Not sure providing no names or background screams "new level of political transparency" for the "Moderate Conservatives."

Email was sent to all MPs and a series of major news outlets. No independents from what I can see.

Who would you rather have negotiating with Iran--President Obama or Toronto Mayor Ford? My money is on Ford.

Y'all ain't gonna like this post, but there's truth here. I personally know a few MPs who are worried. The by-elections are key.

Rumour had it when the House rose several CPC MPs planned to resign over the summer. Some from seats we have held for a while, like Brantford—Brant South—Six Nations (Brock's riding). If we lose that - and some similar ones - there could be internal questions. We'll win Wagantall's in Sask easily. We aren't expected to win Chicoutimi or ones not presently held by us. But if we start losing Ontario and Western ones we do hold, then that's when knives may come out.

Where did the Liberals prioritize spending in 2025? Helping struggling seniors making up to $93,000. Elbows up!
Thanks for the shout out Jacob! Nice to see someone interested in our plan to reform federal spending on Old Age Security. $17 billion/year is going to households with incomes $100K+ That could go a long way toward addressing affordability. Here is JUST THE GROWTH in spending:

Sadly, this is the case. 1st world country. One bridge connecting it all.
“Nice bridge– be a shame if anything happened to it.” If the bridge over the river at Nipigon, Ontario, is blocked, there is no other road in the country joining Eastern Canada to the Western half. One bridge.

CN tracks do go north of Lake Nipigon. But the point remains sadly correct.
