Right on track with what Georgist economists have been expecting all along.
Land prices are at all time highs in valuable downtown city locations driving rents and prices up.
Sound the alarm for another crash in 2026. And remember folks: land value tax would solve this.

Seriously. Progress and Poverty by Henry George should be required reading for all progressives and libertarians
On the one hand, the federal government has no involvement in property tax policy, so this is just virtue signaling to old voters.
On the other hand, @AbdulElSayed should be more informed about the economics of taxation of property (especially land) to not make this argument.
THIS. And full land value tax

I get sick of the yapping about Karl Marx as if he was the only bearded guy in the 1800s who had an alternative to capitalism. America was almost a Georgist country with its own economic system. Third most famous household name behind Thomas Edison and Mark Twain btw

RIP to the great Henry George; passed away 129 years ago but left the world the remedy to the paradox of poverty amidst progress, the land value tax.

Libertarians can't seem to grasp the critical difference in the statements "I need free access to productive land in order to produce goods and/or services in order to survive" and "I need certain things in order to survive provided to me for free."

It's far better to tax the rent of land than to tax the fruits of labour.

The working class, once again, mathematically doomed due to lack of land value tax funded universal basic income. Same as it ever was. And why wouldn't the same equation give the same result? That's math.
Henry George wrote this in 1879:
Even the strongest defenders of Israel who claim it is a nation of equal rights view Muslims and Arabs as an out group to be controlled! This is why the state of Israel should be dissolved and the cities of the Levant should be independent city states with freedom of worship laws
Today is election day in Israel, which is a national holiday. All voting is in person, ID required. No mail-in or absentee ballots. Arabs vote same as Israelis. Contentious process, but it's a democracy-not many of those in this region!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Arab voters are Israeli citizens. Listing them in contrast to Israelis is misconstruing the facts.

It is comically dark outside at 7am. Now imagine its 830am and its pitch black
That is what Trump, the Florida mafia, and boomer degenerate golfing retirees want for the hard working people of this country with permanent DST

Friendly reminder that not understanding this accounting identity can damage one's understanding of whether a land value tax can be passed on.

One encourages mono-use suburban slop.
The other encourages mixed use walkability.
Choose wisely.
Yes we do deserve things just for existing. We formed a country for this reason. Read Progress and Poverty by Henry George. We have to get rid of the timid peasant philosophy of paying rent forever to a landowner class as "natural" or "just the way it is". It isn't.

You believe you deserve something just because you exist?
That's a sad existence.
