What happens when you combine Emacs with gaming?
You get an environment in which any panel can display any visualization for any data type.
And if it's not there, you just develop it right there, live.
Coded support for multiple viewports as it draws 60fps :)

I remade my website:
sebastianaaltonen.com
Includes full publication list with links to slides/talks, github projects and my blog.
SquareSpace is gone. It’s a custom static page generator now. Faster and better.
Debugged an issue in a "it shouldn't happen" language
The kind of bug one uses a high level language to avoid
AI called it "A lateral move in footgun technology. 😂"
I was wondering why I can watch some movies in the background while working, while others distract me.
Like Star Wars, I watch them often.
Then I heard this:
"In most movies, the story is carried by the dialogue — in Star Wars films, the music carries the story." - George Lucas

Just hit a milestone I expected to hit much sooner.
Reminded of:
"Hofstadter's law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's law."
I don't know how to describe this, but it sounds so good

This amazing! I wish group theorist (and creator of the finite automata 'game of life'), John Conway were still here to see this: cfsg.axiommath.ai/. 43M lines of Lean proof.
Did you know the father of Galileo, Galilei, became the first person to solve equal temperament in a practical way? He didn't discover the math, but discovered the engineering to build musical instruments tuning this way.
Solving the 12th root of 2 before calculus or logarithms.
Alignment seems to escape clean mathematics everywhere. Either things run forever without ever overlapping with previous patterns, or they require hacks that hide a large part of the possible reality.
Either we get a pure math or we get a living universe, but we can't have both.
The halting problem explained simply:
Instead of going down the logic or theorem prover routes, ask yourself whether a remote machine on the network has crashed or just needs more time to answer.
How can you know without traveling and inspecting it?
Similarly, cancer cure when?
The only way to know for sure becomes doing the work.
Now, what if you get busy doing the work, how can other people tell whether you completed it or need more time?
They come and check up on you, and start helping when they arrive.
Every time someone answers, it resets state.

Been using clojure for nearly a decade by now..
and I just learned about `with-local-vars`
time to refactor a LOT of code :D
Ah nevermind, got excited too quickly, it just makes another approach to binding scopes that allocates.
This might be my greatest pain point in clojure: too pure.
It has a beautiful design, and then misses the perf mark.
Let me write local mutable bindings! Gonna asm codegen it
