A little over three weeks ago I was at a symposium to benefit people with disabilities on campus, I felt out of place then because there were doctors and educators and people within the Mississippi government. Fast forward to now where I’m in a room with over 700 people from various parts of the world and now I’m talking to these wonderful people, first of all there are so many wonderful people. I wish I could post all of their stories and their wonderful testimonies! Dak’s Outreach is beyond anything I could’ve ever imagined. I say that because I still think of him as the 19-year-old sophomore I met just over a decade ago. There are so many wonderful award, winners and donors and I’m humbled by the extremely kind words that was said about me. I want to make sure that people know him the way I know him. You may see a football player, a dang Good one, yes, he’s a good leader on the field, but he leads everywhere and most importantly, he utilizes his talent for the kingdom of God

King Grace continues to show why he is the most impactful high school signee since Josh Hubbard
I predict a much-needed Sophomore break our season for him as Josh Hubbard comes closer to the end of his career in the Maroon & White

In post-game Jeff Lebby says they'll know more about AJ Swann and Fluff Bothwell tomorrow. For now they are "day to day" per the coach.

Chip Kelly is calling stuff at Northwestern you’ve only seen in video games
Just another version of TV commentators doing no research and one of them is too involved WWE. Do better Joe, and I don’t expect anything nice from Jesse considering what we did to him in 2000.
Turned around in the press box and saw this late in the game tonight. Admittedly, I have no clue what the conversation was on this, but I have a pretty good idea.
Aside from just the simple fact that over half of this list weren’t even coached by this staff, is there anywhere else that has to deal with this as much as Mississippi State from the national media?
I could probably go find nine players from the majority of the Power 4 in this era that transferred out over the last five years and create a no context narrative. Why is State the team here?

It was a long day and late night at the ballpark, but when it was all over, Mississippi State had won two from a scrappy Little Rock team that had the tying run at second base when the nightcap ended. Final scores were 7-1 and 1-0, both in seven innings.
Afterwards, we spoke with Head Coach Brian O' Connor, including some kind of weird question about the state of college baseball, as well as starting pitcher Ryan McPherson and starting shortstop Ryder Woodson. For the sake of time, we're going to combine the two interviews into this one post.
This marks the end of my 2026 Fall Ball coverage for @CollegeBaseCNT, but we're planning to be back in one week for the second Diamond Dawg Classic, featuring all the classic stars of @HailStateBB.
We'll have more information on that next week, but for now, we'll leave all you insomniacs and early risers with a little something to cap off your night or start up your morning.
As always, thanks to so many folks who make this possible, especially Logan Lowery with MSU Baseball. We couldn't do it without him.

It’s been trending toward Mississippi State starting AJ Swann at quarterback today against No. 11 Texas, sources tell @CBSSports.
Swann had been the third-string QB behind Kamario Taylor, who is now out for the season, and Parker Puckett, who was previously Taylor’s backup. Before Mississippi State, Swann played at Vanderbilt, LSU and App State.
Denton Lord is a young Jonathan Papelbon @TheRealJPap58
Mississippi State's Denton Lord had a dominant first inning tonight 1-2-3 with three Ks. The freshman's FB was 96-99. Also threw a SL 87-89 and CH 90. In his second inning, he pitched around a 1-out double and struck out the final 2 batters to finish with 5 strikeouts among the 7 batters faced. Sure looks like the Dogs have another flame-throwing freshman ready to contribute

I legit saw him a few Thursdays ago at a restaurant in Starkville and said to his face "Twitter say you going to Miami next year" he told me "no sir I'm hail state all the way"
Also, my source say our offer is a lot more than two
"If you're gonna get $2M at Mississippi State and $6M at Miami, go to Miami."
@PriscoCBS on what could be next for Kamario Taylor.

The Brewers won the World Series and their longest-tenured player fought his way into the box score.
“Are you going to ask me what that feels like?” Brandon Woodruff said.
Well, yes.

Kamario Taylor had successful surgery this morning, per a source. His return timeline is expected to be typical of turf toe surgeries, somewhere around three months. A full recovery is expected. Dr. Norman Waldrop of Andrews Sports Medicine performed the surgery in Birmingham.

A massive thank you to @thekevinvera and @AustinPlatter for thinking of me during the “Stand Up To Cancer” moment during tonight’s World Series game.
Moved is an understatement. Thanks for putting tears in my eyes tonight guys.

Kamario Taylor made clear in his statement today: “Starkville is home.” Mississippi State AD Zac Selmon told ESPN today MSU will continue to be proactive in both signing Taylor and funding roster upgrades to compete at highest level.
