Without a "national tradition of firearm regulation," statutes concerning arms are presumptively unconstitutional. So what do WE believe are those traditions? I'll start. A 🧵 Can some experts weigh in? @MorosKostas @robdoar @ppatterson85 @fourboxesdiner @GunWashington @AttyTomGrieve @Arrinba3870

If @netflix doesn’t bring back The Diplomat for season 5, I’m going to need the writers to call me and tell me what the VP was going to say. Best written show on TV right now.

These arguments sound refreshingly like the opposite of the Cook County brief.

I was right…reading Cook County’s brief is incredibly frustrating. I’d just say 2 things to them: 1. Why do you think “use” = “firing”? 2. What use do *you* think made the AR15 the most popular rifle in America? Not good for hunting, self-defense…then what?

I win my bet…”mass shootings” is in the 1st paragraph.

As usual, antigun states think the defining feature of the Second Amendment is that it is "not absolute." No, its defining feature is that it secures a right which it declares shall not be infringed. Also, curious to include "assassination attempts" here, as those have historically been done with guns they claim they don't want to ban, like handguns or bolt-action rifles.

No, you said you want to politically hunt down members of the Trump admin for the purpose of terrifying young conservatives out of serving in government. Hope this helps.
Just a few hours ago, President Trump said in the Oval Office that I should be tried in court because I dared to talk about the corruption coming out of the White House. If I've learned one thing from this past year, it's that you have to push back. I'm not going to be intimidated out of standing up for the rule of law and the country that has given me everything.

We heard your speech. That's not what you said. You said freshly graduated kids should be scared of working in conservative politics because you and your friends would consider prosecuting them if you regain power. You're not the victim here.
I have been clear for some time on where I stand on prosecuting corruption and illegal acts. In a speech a few weeks ago, I said we need to hold accountable the people and institutions who stole billions of our taxpayer dollars and weaponized the government against its people. And we need a list of signature cases that go after some of the most obvious and harmful abuses of taxpayer dollars. If Kristi Noem steered $200 million in taxpayer dollars to a friend's company to make her TV ads, as GOP sources suggest, she should be held accountable. If Doug Burgum gave a $13 million no-bid contract for the reflecting pool, he should be held accountable. And if Jeanine Pirro used the Department of Justice to go after the president's enemies without any legal basis, she should lose her law license, in line with the law.

This was not about harvesting olives. It was about harvesting headlines. Brad Lander’s latest stunt is nothing more than a calculated political provocation. Lander traveled to a foreign country, deliberately entered a restricted security area, and participated in an unauthorized activity without the required coordination. What makes this stunt even more outrageous is that his own team contacted Israeli representatives in the United States ahead of his visit and was explicitly informed that proper coordination with the relevant authorities was required. He chose to ignore those instructions. At a time of heightened security tensions, Israeli security forces have a responsibility to protect lives, prevent dangerous incidents, and maintain public order. Had anyone been injured as a result of his reckless political theater, Lander would undoubtedly have been among the first to demand that Israeli authorities intervene and provide protection. Brad Lander came looking for a confrontation. Now he is pretending to be its victim.

Here are some facts, @NYCMayor that you may want to amend to your statement.
Earlier today, a number of harvesters, accompanied by dozens of individuals, arrived to conduct an uncoordinated olive harvest in an area near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in this area requires a request to be submitted to the relevant authorities in advance of the start of the olive harvest season. This coordination is necessary to ensure the security of the area and maintain public order. Due to the security risk posed by conducting an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, and officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police arrived at the scene and detained those present. The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date. It should be emphasized that authorized olive harvests have taken place and continue to take place. To date, approximately 100 coordinated harvests have been conducted across Judea and Samaria, yielding many dozens of tons of produce, with security provided and coordination by the security forces, without any unusual incidents. In areas designated for coordinated harvesting, only harvesters will be permitted to enter, solely for the purpose of harvesting. As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season, with a firm commitment to enabling harvesting without unusual incidents or interruptions, alongside their ongoing defensive and counterterrorism missions.

I popped into a coffee shop to grab a cappuccino and the barista recognized me and told me why he’s supporting me. I have interactions like this every day and I am deeply touched by it every time.

Myriam was a 7-year-old French Jewish girl. She witnessed a terrorist break into her school and kill two of her classmates. She tried to run but tripped while grabbing her schoolbag, causing her ballet slippers to fall out. She stopped to pick them up. He chased her and grabbed her by the hair, shooting her in the head at point-blank range. The man was Mohamed Merah, and a rap song honoring him and other Muslim terrorists has become the unofficial anthem of the ‘student protests’ in France.

Let me be the asaJew…I don’t care if Trump used that term. He’s the best President for Jews probably in American history. I would take his actions along with that word everyday, over Joe Biden’s actions and bland terminology. Any day of the week…and twice on Sunday.

Didn’t stop @NYCMayor from parroting the “detention.”
This is actually insane. He attempted to drive into a restricted area, had his ID checked, and asked to turn around five minutes later. These people think it’s all a game for social media where they can just conduct political stunts.

It’s the classic Washington scandal…she screwed up by saying what she really believes. Doubling down probably isn’t the best way out. Nor is gaslighting us, trying to make us believe she never said it. How about, “I was making a valid point but got out over my skis. Sorry.”
