Not to give @TVG or @FanduelTV all the credit, but the absence of quality production is a major reason for those tracks being in the red YOY. They all previously had full production when on our network. They now have elevator music promoting their product, that’s why @parxracing was down 17% as well. @ChurchillDowns was in the green as we gave full coverage. We have the distribution that is needed to put racing in front of eyeballs, something that has taken years to generate, however that doesn’t matter without some sort of production value. Running races with a Spotify play list will not help the sport as it becomes unwatchable to most novice players.
Kind of disappointing to see handle down w/ the opening of the new @BelmontPark1905--especially since purses and field size were up. Yes, handle per race was up but other than @ChurchillDowns seems like money just shifted back to @TheNYRA from places @parxracing & @losalracing

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program is hiring a part-time Accounting & HR Manager in Lexington, Kentucky.
This is an opportunity for an experienced CPA who wants to use their financial expertise to support a mission-driven organization helping more than 600 retired Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds each year.
In this role, you’ll help lead the organization’s accounting and financial reporting while providing management-level oversight of payroll, benefits, HR, compliance, and administrative operations.
You’ll work closely with our Executive Director and Board to help ensure New Vocations remains financially strong, operationally sound, and ready to continue giving retired racehorses a second chance.
We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ An active CPA license
✔️ At least five years of accounting experience
✔️ Strong general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow skills
✔️ Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
✔️ HR, payroll, and compliance experience
✔️ Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills
✔️ A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
✔️ Equine industry familiarity strongly preferred
Position details:
📍 Lexington, KY
⏰ Approximately 15–30 hours per week
💼 Part-time, non-exempt
💰 Hourly wage commensurate with experience
🏢 On-site position; remote work is not available
