Following the logic of Brexiteers who claim that to overturn the 2016 referendum result would be undemocratic, should we expect a "once in a lifetime" General Election in the near future?

Austerity not only decimated our libraries, swimming pools and other amenities, it reduced resilience in the face of storms and other natural events. Local councils have left storm drains uncleared during the summer drought… #BBCNews

The inhibition is entirely gone. Yeah, he’s always been a rude, obsessive pervert, but he at least knew how to self-regulate for his own benefit. That is gone, and barely anyone seems to be asking why.
Trump says he examined Jon Husted’s ass to groans but then says Nikki Minaj has a nice ass to cheers

The Daily Mail. What a misanthropic rag. Its motto should be “Misery Loves Company “

Kemi Badenoch and Jacob Rees-Mogg, both Conservatives, criticised Andy Burnham for appearing on Gogglebox Here's Boris Johnson appearing on Eastenders when he was Mayor of London The double standards are extraordinary. When Johnson makes a television cameo, it's a bit of fun. When Burnham appears on television to support a cancer charity, suddenly it's an affront to public office. It's criticism for the sake of criticism. An opportunity to be aggressive, dismissive and unnecessarily rude, rather than acknowledge that someone is doing something worthwhile. Burnham was supporting Stand Up To Cancer. That should transcend party politics. Not everything needs to become a partisan attack. Sometimes a politician can simply do something decent without opponents desperately searching for a reason to find fault.

Just watching Sky Arts: Dire Straits at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1983. Superb musicianship and you know what: an audience living in the moment, with no iPhones aloft…

For the love of god, stop asking @Jeremy_Hunt for his opinion on how to save the country. He’s an austerity loving shirker. Get fucked.

Want to save the high street? Easiest thing to do is to save post offices and ensure at least one bank branch (maybe a shared one) is on every high street. Give people reasons to go to the high street. Not a "tough decision" just a blatantly obvious one.
More than third of post offices in TG Jones (formerly WH Smith) stores to shut by early 2027 WH Smith was bought by private equity, shut-down shops. Many towns/districts are without a bank branch or a post office. Cuts footfall, bad news for traders. theguardian.com/business/202…

The Covid Inquiry Report, the ITV documentary on Reform, completely ignored by #bbclaurak All the focus today was on freedom of movement and how it’s a bad thing. I don’t think there’s ever been more compromised journalists at the BBC than Kuenssberg and Mason.

There is a legal case to prosecute members of Boris Johnson’s government for misconduct in public office. There is evidence that they negligently contributed to the deaths of tens of thousands in care homes. I want to know why there is no prosecution ongoing. Why?

There is a civil servant somewhere who knows that the setting up of that VIP lane delayed getting PPE to hospitals. This must have happened because they ignored existing suppliers. There will be an exact line from those delays to deaths.
Why aren't Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock and Helen Whately not under investigation for mass manslaughter? @andyburnham The fact that they aren't is deeply unsettling. Are government ministers immune from prosecution? Do we have no protection against government misconduct?
