"He's the perfect rescue and fitting right in." Thanks to Jeffrey for his many years of service in the Air Force, and for taking Monty under his wing. And thank you to @petcolove for the lifesaving grant investment that's funding Monty's 'welcome home' support and year of post adoption follow up. Another great match through one of our longest term partners — @HumanePinellas — which waives adoption fees for our veterans and spouses of the fallen. ❤️🇺🇸

Justin is an Iraq war veteran who faced a different kind of battle upon his return home. Like many veterans he struggled to reintegrate to civilian life, but has found renewed purpose with a rescue dog whom he credits with “doing wonders for my mental health.” --> bit.ly/justin-nyx Thank you @HumanePinellas 💙

Save the date—August 23—for a fundraiser at Crooked Thumb Brewery benefiting @PetsforPatriots + our partners @HumanePinellas ...be there!

Meet the Joe's! 💙 Joe, Army veteran with Kona via @HumanePinellas: "He is such a great dog for us and a perfect companion. Couldn't have lucked out any more than with Kona." 💙 Joe, Marine Corps veteran with Rowan via @kcpetproject: "I'm actually down 8 pounds walking her and we are having a great time. Actually helping me get out of the house more." Thank you to our wonderful shelter partners for helping us make these life-changing, lifesaving matches!

Justin is a x2 Iraq war @USArmy veteran who struggled after service to re-integrate back to civilian life. Many of our warriors live with the invisible wounds of war such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. With 4,577 adoptions and counting, our work works for some basic reasons: ❤️ Pairs veterans and pets with complementary needs for love, companionship, and healing ❤️ Set them up for success with 'welcome home' basics ❤️ Support pets for life with savings on veterinary care, pet food, and supplies ❤️ Nurture their bond with a full year of post-adoption checkins to let veterans know we've got their six Our gratitude to Justin for his heroic service to our nation, and to our long-time partners @HumanePinellas for waiving adoption fees for our nation's heroes.
