Investor's words can impact a founder's headspace. The closer we work with founders we find ourselves in variety of situations that toe the line of candor, motivation, and maintaining a great relationship.
@NickCromydas, founder & CEO @huntclubco, shares a framework of the various buckets investors fall into that I've heard other founders use as well:
(1) "I gave you money so you better follow my advice"
(2) "Here's what I've seen over the years so just think about this suggestion"
(3) "I'm not sure on this one but here's what I'm seeing in the market"
Stay away from (1), deploy (2), and (3) is the default
