Emotivo mensaje que llega el alma. Rubén Blades whew ! La canción es única. 🎶🎵
El momento en que Rubén Blades se quiebra antes de iniciar a cantar esta canción la convierte, para mí, en la mejor versión en vivo de este tema.

Excellent. NY’ers are so ready. Thank you!
More affordable housing in more parts of the city! Today, we’re announcing the 12 districts where the Affordable Housing Fast Track will soon take effect. Starting Jan. 1, this voter-approved tool will make it easier to create affordable homes in the areas that add the least.

Attended @JuliaSalazar__ budget meeting tonight. Civic engagement is important in order to know how budget dollars are spent and how our community is being serviced. ✨✨

Great piece. That void remains for a long time once no longer at home to share in day 2 day activities-but staying busy with one’s interests/work helps. They do communicate when you least expect it; and then you settle into a rhythm! 🤗✨
.@SteveHartmanCBS and Andrea Hartman's son George is now on the road to start college – the culmination of an 18-year-journey that, they recognize, has gone so fast. They talk about this rite of passage for parents, and of adjusting to life in an emptier nest. cbsn.ws/4yXYdPI

Truer words couldn’t be said. ✨✨
FIVE THINGS 🍄 you should never say when someone is fishing for information: 1. When someone asks a personal question you don't want to answer, don't snap back with, "That's none of your business." It might be true, but it immediately puts you on the defensive. Instead, ask: "Why do you ask?" Then stop talking. Most people aren't prepared for that question. Suddenly they're explaining their curiosity instead of you explaining your life. 2. When someone says: "I heard something about you..." Don't take the bait by asking: "What did you hear?" That's exactly what they're hoping you'll do. Instead, shrug and say: "People say a lot of things." Then leave it there. If the information actually matters, they'll tell you. If they're fishing, they'll have nowhere to go. 3. When someone asks: "How much did that cost?" Remember that curiosity doesn't automatically create entitlement. You don't owe everyone access to your finances. Try: "More than I wanted to spend." Or: "Enough." Then move on. Not every question deserves a detailed answer. 4. When someone asks: "What really happened between you two?" Don't turn into a prosecutor, a victim, or a gossip columnist. You don't have to destroy someone's reputation to protect your own. A simple: "It didn't work out, but I wish them well." tells people far more about your character than a 20-minute explanation ever could. And remember: when people ask what happened with someone else, they're also quietly learning what you might say about them someday. 5. When someone asks about plans that aren't finished yet: The business. The investment. The new job. The move. The project. The opportunity. Stop feeling pressured to reveal everything. You can simply say: "I'm working on something. I'll talk about it when it's ready." Then go back to work. A lot of people mistake attention for progress. They're not the same thing. Talking about goals can sometimes provide the emotional reward of accomplishment without any actual accomplishment. Protect your plans until they have roots. The older I get, the more I realize that privacy isn't secrecy. Privacy is healthy boundaries. It doesn't mean you're hiding something. It means access to your life, your thoughts, your finances, your relationships, and your future should be earned—not assumed. Not everyone needs a front-row seat to your life. And that's perfectly okay. 🍄

NYC Emergency Management just wrapped a coordination call with the National Weather Service and City agencies. Here's where things stand and what's ahead. What's happened so far
🌧️ About half an inch to an inch of rain has fallen across the city.
🌬️ Gusts have reached 45 mph citywide and up to 55 mph at JFK. NYC Parks has received about 640 requests for downed or damaged trees since Friday, most in Queens and Brooklyn.
🌊 Jamaica Bay reached major flood levels with this morning's high tide, and parts of Long Island Sound reached moderate flooding. What's ahead
🌧️ Tonight, about 8 p.m. through mid-morning Sunday: The heaviest rain arrives in bands falling at up to 1 inch per hour. Some areas could see 2 inches overnight, with localized amounts up to 3 inches. Isolated flash flooding is possible.
🌬️ Tonight into Sunday morning: Gusts of 45 to 55 mph continue, with an isolated gust to 60 mph possible. More downed trees and power outages are likely.
🌊 Tonight's high tide: Around 8:15 to 9 p.m. on the south shore and near midnight along Long Island Sound. Moderate flooding is expected in Jamaica Bay and the Rockaways.
🌊 Sunday's high tides: Around 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. on the south shore and around noon along the Sound. Moderate flooding is expected in Jamaica Bay and the Rockaways. The midday tide could bring more widespread moderate flooding to the coastal Bronx and northern Queens, including parts of Flushing and Astoria. Staten Island and Lower Manhattan should see minor flooding.
🌤️ Sunday afternoon: Winds drop off to gusts around 35 mph. Scattered heavy showers are possible into the evening, and showers linger into Monday.
🏖️ City beaches are closed to swimming and lifeguards are not on duty. Life-threatening rip currents are expected, so stay out of the water. 🚗 Tonight through late Sunday morning is the worst time to travel. City crews are clearing downed trees, responding to flooding, and keeping rescue teams staged along the coast. ✅ If you live in a basement, be ready to move to a higher floor. Never walk or drive through floodwater, and stay away from downed lines.
🌳 Report fallen trees to 311.
🏠 Report damage to your home or business at reportdamage.nyc.gov. Text NOTIFYNYC to 692-692 for alerts. Basement apartment residents can sign up at nyc.gov/notify and select the basement apartment option to get automated phone calls during flooding.

It’s truly sad. Keeping them all in prayer. 🙏🏽
There is an emptiness in our hearts today. Two people, who had deep passion for telling the human story & keeping our communities informed, are now angels in the sky. My deepest condolences to the NBC/Telemundo family, Eliana and George's families and to all those who knew them.

Will spend the day reflecting on how 9/11 tragically changed New York City forever! It’s never forgotten 25 years later. It was incredible to witness how the city banded together to help one another. 🙏🏽✨ Prayers to all the families and loved ones during this difficult time.
