Pro tip for @Spotify users: if ya dig an artist go ahead and hit the follow button ESPECIALLY for smaller artists. There’s literally no downside to doing this. It’s not like a normal social media thing. You won’t have to scroll endlessly thru a feed filled with rants or pics. 1/3

Seeing ‘You Can See Everything’ and ‘Musk’ as a double feature would be an interesting 7 hours… but also pretty (mentally/emotionally/ethically) draining, I presume. But also, I kinda want to do it.

This is very valuable info for me. Luckily I’ll definitely be at @umichwbball’s games against @USCWBB and @UCLAWBB. The rest I’ll catch on the tv. Thought about flying out for the game against @UConnWBB, but couldn’t really justify it. 😊

A phrase I have learned to despise: “How do we get this done at scale?” I also feel the same about words like “expanding your total addressable market.” Any jargon related to chasing growth. It’s the language of technocrats, venture capitalists, and private equity, and…

If anyone from Brooklyn Vegan wants to talk about joining forces with us at The Alt, reach out in the DMs and we will see what's possible. There are so few good sites left. We need to work together to keep music media alive.

RIP Brooklyn Vegan. Absolutely bewildering. Thinking of all the great people there and the unparalleled music coverage they’ve done over the years. Utterly unceremonious and moronic actions by Veeps.

That Elon Musk interview is a car crash. I know plenty are furious at the Economist for platforming him but if you watch it you’ll see a man given just enough rope to hang himself. He’s a blundering idiot on almost every topic. Quite reminiscent of Boris Johnson as PM.

Charlie & Rand are both objectively wrong. The senators who wrote & voted for amendment engaged in debate about the implications & said “cope harder” when a senator whined that it would result in the US being taken over by the children of unwanted Chinese & Romani foreigners.
Rand Paul
@RandPaulJul 6
Charlie was absolutely right. It’s time we pass a Constitutional Amendment, end the loophole that’s currently being exploited, and protect birthright citizenship for children of U.S. citizens.

MAGA’s full embrace of generative AI is fascinating. Not really known for their artistic abilities, so it makes sense on that level. But their commitment to myth, and alternative facts/reality is the real reason. Also, Bolagun is a great example of birthright citizenship. 🤪
